In the meantime, here's an intriguiging 12 hr chart. The new candle just opened a minute ago.

This fib is actually from my 2 hr chart, I've simply toggled it to 12hrs. It's a great example of a fib that I have "grown" over the last few weeks and it still respects the fib levels pretty well but you can only see that clearly on a 4hr or lower TF. It has showed up frequently over the last weeks on various charts.

Try it and see payin close attention to the two recent taps on the 150% level on the 20th and 21st, before finally pushing thru late on the 21st which went on to set the most recent High...

Here we be again with resistance turned support for the time being.

Ok that got me going back through charts. I've been looking at Bemac's stuff, and now I guess I'll look at that too.

Later guys, I have a ton of stuff happening before bed time.

the bigger chart trend line already posted and this one along with daily cht bollingers looking over sold to me and stochastic.. plus was atempting to draw a fib ahead of time were the reasons i picked those numbers as a top.. i know nothing about waves but saw saw predictable patterns.. placed a fib on the first pattern.. the fib matched future patterns. and came up with the numbers (actual number 4037) i added some cushion 4051.. then used the trendlines (actual number 4077) that were close as a safetly net 5105 .. but the fibs were within 13 pips.. believe it or not the fibs in this chart were seen friday... this is not the actual chart and placing a fib in the exact spot is hard.. this one actually overshoots the original..original had 4037 as top.. hope this may help.. picking a top is a fools game... and this one is still not out the woods..but keeping me honest..

oh the 300 ma on the daily and the 200 on the day week and month also influinced me..

Expected 1.3830 stop sign notice the sideways action. Can potentially attempt a last minute uptick, but overall downward pressure to follow.
Looking towards a move down to 1.3700 and 1.3680 for a BUY limit or BUY STOP if needed...

Aha! I knew it was somewhere in my head... Had to dig thru my Old Forex Crap stuff folder...

Gimme a minute.... :nerd:

Essentially your primary fib numbers are the usual 38% and 62% numbers with some debate over the 50% number. I'm not trying to establish anything with mathematical precision here so I might leave off some of the decimal places.

There are also what are usually referred to as secondary fib levels... the 23% (.236)and 79% (.786) levels. I also use the 14% (.146) now with the low momentum ranging action being so prevalent lately and I generally find it "useful".

"Useful" is all I personally need to validate any tool I use and it's really just that simple for me. I doubt I'd ever debate the issue with a purist for instance. I'd rather buy him/her a Guinness. I have no idea where the 14% or 23% level came from cuz no one ever asked me (so don't start now) but it IS a default setting on my Accucharts platform and that's all I know.

As far as I know, the .764 number is simply 1.0 -.236 = .764 and Someone must have figured that made Sense until Someone Else realized that the square root of the primary fib number .618 is .786 (79%) which made more Sense and went with that instead. I like it so I use it.

It's way sexier and confuses people making them wonder what I know that they don't...

FWIW, .764 is also a default setting in Accucharts but what do they know? See pic below for what part of my current 2hr setup tool looks like. I have different ones for various TF's with different default levels on the Custom column. The positive and negative values also known as fib extensions and retracements are simply Plus or Minus the usual 0.00 and 1.00 anchors.

For anybody that Really Digs Fibs, you have to check out Bemacs ICCE thread. Mindblowing stuff...

I closed my shorts from 1.411 ,1.3980and went long looking for 150 pips with SL tighter than normal. The gold lines are a channel drawn back to April 25

If this plays out Ill short from the 1.3960 area (yellow X)

I'll be short just below SL if plan goes south

Up 13 movd SL to +2 I usually give her alot more room but
no tolerence for loss after last week
and I have a good start this week ,plan to holdit together
