does higher oil prices mean higher euro? is there any correlation there? I ask because everyone is saying oil will reach $75 in the coming week or two.!!

If it goes on like this, I'll be bankrupt before the day is over.
18 pips closer to a margin call. I still have about 2000 pips to go before that actually happens.

You have nothing to worry about then.

Just reverse at 150 and ride it back to 160 and you'll break even.

It might get boring after that though.

i currently 44 pips richer and will be bankrupt if it 20000 pips down

For those of you who do not have FXSOL and do not receive their weekly "Market directions" e-mail, here it is. I rarely post others work, but Joseph Trevisani who is FXSOL's chief market analyst is spot on in regards to the US dollar that answers (or potentially answers) many of the questions that are being posed on the thread currently -

You won’t receive a margin call until next world war, If this margin call considers also the maximum loss on all pending short orders in worst scenario from here to 1.6000. If not, you have 2000 eggs in one basket.

EUR-USD WEEKLY line-chart shows a resistance level at 1.4059. IMO we should see some selling come in here. But this last move up is fundamentally based and technicals had little to do with it. With Stochastics stuck in extreem over-bought level we have continued to move higher.

Where is the top? Its up in the air. Trade the price action, with stops. Trend is still up so best to trade from the long side till there is clear evidence that a chart pattern like Double-Top, Head/Shoulders, V formation etc. etc is made which clearly indicates a top is in place.

A good read, indeed.

To sum up what "Mr. T" is saying regarding The US Fed and the next few months or so:

To Quote:

"... If the credit markets can absorb the US issuance over the next three months without driving up interest rates
and the US economy begins to show signs of positive growth by the beginning of the fourth quarter
then the stage is set for a return of the dollar to strength.

But if Treasury rates continue to rise and the Fed is forced into extensive quantitative easing to contain them
then market judgment against the dollar could be harsh indeed...."

So, if we get past the ifs, ands, buts and soforth we could be in for quite a ride.

Joe T. is usually very spot on with his macro analysis and view of the big picture.

Right now, there are just so many possible outside and inside influences that could affect the market
that it's too early to concentrate on September '09 just yet. I'm trying to get past May '09 right now.

Call me crazy, I just increased shorts by 20% @ 1.4040.
But this with a stop @ 1.4070. The rest has no stop, but I will partly hedge starting @ 1.4065 and up.
My average short is now 1.3999, up from 1.3991.

Hooray!!! I wish I had the balls to increase my shorts but the current pain is quite sufficient.
