1.3738 survived 2 Huge hits and has demontrated a formidable support level. Take that and another bounce off the 100 SMA and you got a long.

Im seeing a Triangle forming on the 15 with no clear direction ....... like thats something new ha ...... anyway nice scalping for a bit

My money was to go long around 1.3730s as earlier posted; but pulled it out due to strong negative DOW.

Most of the time, EURUSD follows DOW faithfully. Today, a big negative DOW could not push this down.

Yet 1.3840s proved very strong resistance as well.

I'd better stay away for a while.

OK, yes, there are correlations between the E/U (and other pairs) and stock indices, Oil, etc., and sometimes these are tight and long-lasting but always subject to change - like Master Notch says, not exactly straightforward - nothing to be relied upon blindly.

But then the price action sees huge spikes that leap-frog over these correlations and may even slap them silly, if only for a while. Like the S&P downgrade announcement on the pound this AM. And like the 100-pip gap up from a day ago that caught you with your shorts down.

These gaps are probably caused by truly huge movements of capital between the banks and other financial instiutions and those guys are not worried about the S&P.

So, Fool, what can I tell ya? The dollar is just too weak to make up that gap and you would be best advised to bite the bullet and close out those shorts. Chalk it up as a learning experience. Get back in the game and make up those losses.

We will probably see a new high today. Everything points up. Ask how many pips can you make in a week on 1 pair trading only the 100 SMA bounces..... 870 and counting.
