Keep watching though, sometimes these tightly ranging days lead to a big blowout move. Maybe not until next London session?

Also, don't forget that today's trading range is only 126 at present. Feels like there is more to give on the up side. I won't be trading it; done for the day, but worth watching toward end of NYC or beginning of Asian session.

Dow is up only a little today. DAX is up. Oil is up. Gold is up. Euro is climbing a steep hill.

The worst thing is that I said in my earlier post that the 4H bear channel can be seen as a bull flag but I didn't trade it, knowing what can happen.

I hope that this will not be one of those weeks

How do you correlate DOW with forex? Any particular pair that has strong correlation?

Can someone help please?

I have just installed the EA and eveyr time i now try to open IB system it opens briefly then crashes.

Any ideas what i can do to get it open again?

I meant the trend during May. I zoomed out all the way but I still can't get your chart to display on my screen. Hmmm.

It took a couple of bars to break the THV trend line so I entered short at 130.75 s/l at 131.82 let it run and see.

ok this is buggin me now

anyone manage to get the MTV THV "lights" indicator to go back further than the last 750bars, any work around or otherwise as it would be nice to test further back!

Thought that I saw divergence in the 1 min as well but when used the crosshair I realized that the PA was flat...

there's quite a bit of support here...let's see how it goes....

Which EA? If THV EA, there is a different thread for that and you will need to post the issues there. This thread is for THV manual system only.

Anyway, what is your MT4 version? Try updating it and see if it helps.

Edit: I see TW beat me...

DOW usually correlates with E/U, though not always. Other dollar pairs are similar, though I don't usually trade them so I don't know if they follow the DOW more or less than EU.

EU seems to not want to do anything at all today. Currently trending between R2 and MR3, price above coral so looking for a break on the upside toward R3 before going back down. Sitting on my hands for the moment.

OK, so this took a while to develop but finally got it. PA broke MR2 and headed to R3. Took the trade on the close of the green candle that broke MR2 exit when PA touched R3.

Sorry to take so long to reply, Kerty9. Been out of the office for a while. Some of the guys on EUR/USD thread taught me that when investors are spending on equities, they are not investing in the dollar; therefore, when Dow is up, EUR/USD is up. Similarly, all last summer, when oil was up (it has been climbing lately), EUR/USD was up.

Watching the price of oil, and corresponding price of gasoline in the U.S., I'll be watching as summer and big U.S. travel season picks up. Wondering if we break out of winter ranging and start climbing.

If we do start climbing with consistency enough to call it a trend, then I would advise you two things:
1. THV trading will get to be even easier than now, if you trade with the trend.
2. Be certain to use Stop Loss (SL) because we could have massive movement in a single day, leading some overly aggressive traders to margin call. Been there, done that. Don't want to go back.

My two cents. Hope it helps.

P.S. Tradewell answered the other part of your question maybe. I watch only EUR/USD, but I would think USD is treated about the same across the board.

P.S.S. With today's movement, we are now at the upper trendline on D1 and H4 TF. I would not be surprised to see EUR/USD come down tomorrow and next day, but if bad USD news, then we just may break through those lines again, as we did over the past few weeks.

You can't do that with the current version of the indicator. However I have a new version that does let you specify the number of bars. It works with a stripped down version of the Trix so that I was able to specify params when calling it through iCustom instead of using the default (750). This will also be easier on the CPU usage if you specify fewer bars. However, it needs to the tested a bit by the THV team before it's released, but I guess Cobra will release it when he releases the new version of THV

Am I getting that right...?

Does this screenshot demonstrate that properly? This conicided with divergence on the 5 min...

what is that new indicator at the bottom of your chart? and did u add another new indicators other than that to the usual THV chart?

Those are MTF (Multi time frame) Trix indicators and MTF cloud indicators to let you know what is happening on higher time frames...

The downloads are on page one with manual and explanations...
