This thread is for the release of the EA based on Cobraforex's THV Trading system. The link to the manual system can be found here.

Please remember:-
1. This EA is in beta testing phase, if you find bugs, report it here.
2. This does not work in live accounts (that is intentional, we do not want any body to ruin thier live accounts with untested settings. We will unlock it once it is proved to be profitable).
3. The EA has an expiration date for the first test phase, after that we will release the next version with an updated expiration date.
4. Do not ask source code, it will not be provided.

The attached zip file has self extracting zip file as exe. Before installing close your MT4 terminal. To install the EA, double click the exe and select your MT4 root installation folder (usually C:Program filesYour Broker MT4). This will install the required indicators, EA and template.

You can load the template THV EA v0.5 to your preferred pair/tf chart, which should load all the required indicators and also the EA. At this stage your screen should look like the attached screen shot.


To understand the basic mechanics of this EA, you need to have basic understanding of THV trading sytem. All the related manuals are here, please read it before you post any basic questions.

The idea of this thread is to find a profitable setting, so dont afraid to try different settings, keep us posted here

This EA will be absolutely free as everything what the THV Team has done untill now.

I'll keep updating this post as when we release the updated version of the EA.

For those who is not aware of the THV Manual Trading I have attached the user guide for that. Hope it helps in understanding the mechanics of this EA.

Anybody is welcome to download and test this EA and post thier settings and results.

Hi Ea traders

In Nov. 2008 I presented in FF an advanced trading system called THV, you find the thread here.

With the time, thanks to my THV Team (formed by 8 traders of, in that time, all categories), we could improve the system to almost perfection and from version V1 to V3 it was downloaded over 140.000 times (my private web included).

We incorporated, thanks to the unconditional help of MissPips, MTF indicators for traders with one or two monitors.
These indis shows the THV Trix and cloud condition on higher TF’s and helps to find a fast trading decision without switching between charts.

Saying we could bring this system to almost perfection doesn’t mean that anyone can download the set and will be rich tomorrow; you need to know the basics of FX to trade ANY system.

With the time the demand for a THV trading robot was growing, that much that some smarta$$es hacked my ex4 files and tried to SELL their version.

That gave me enough reason to start building a proper THV EA for free distribution to get the system thieves out of business.

Till today we where working in silence in another private board with access only for the developers.

We had the luck that xux99 ( in my opinion the best EA coder around) gave us a hand with his excellent coding skills and we where able, together with Caveman and Karun (who will lead this thread), to develop a beta version which needs to be tested now.

The credits belong to xux99 as the main coder, Caveman for adapting MM options, and Karun for incorporating divergence detection and an option to avoid that the EA takes trades during News.

BTW: Caveman developed also a THV trade manager EA called Cavemanager.

Karun will lead this thread and has administrator privileges as I don’t have enough time actually, this world wide crisis reached Ecuador (where I’m living) and I have to take care more time than usually of my companies.

We include a manual in PDF to make it easy to setup the EA.

We have an expiration date coded for each test phase to make sure that you always have the latest version.
Also, this EA can be used only on demo accounts for the moment, we did that to protect the newbees which may think that they can get rich while sleeping, lol.

Once that we release the final EA, the expiration and demo option will be deleted and you can use the EA as long as you want.

The EA will be presented always as an auto install exe file which installs all files where they belong to, once you add the EA to a chart, the THV template will be executed automatically.

We will not share the mq4 file to make that clear from the very beginning; we don’t want to see our work sold in Ebay or wherever.

When you find good sets please post them here, don’t forget all this works only if we ALL share something.


OK Karun, that was it in short words from my side, please take the captains chair now and give the folks the parameters to get the beta version of THV EA proved..

Has an option not to trade x minutes before and x minutes after News events which can be choused by importance.

Recognize psych levels (you can chouse them)

Recognize Pivot levels

We still have no set files to present as this last version was finished today, I'm working on a 5M version which I will upload when finished.

The backtesting takes a lot of time as the EA is very CPU heavy as you might imagen.

With this EA you have the advantage that you can personalize it and trade all pairs and TF's.

But you need to adjust the parameters for your needs.

that is the task of this thread: finding the best sets for each pair/TF.

I'm testing in this moment a E/U setup on 5M, it's very slow but here the result of a very bad trading week in jan. 08 (the screenshot)

Hi cobraforex!

I'm not a fan (never been) of EA's, but i have to say i will test this one, having the option to be "aware" of pivot, psych levels is excelent. I am very curious to see the results on this.

I'll leave it running on a demo acct, with proper mm (2%) on a small virtual account ($10k).

Will be following closely, and hoping to contribute too!

hi guys, testing EA, shows unusually high CPU load, i've got P8600 2,40 ghz core 2 duo. both cpu cores load about 94%. is it normal?

Flamenkito, please check the "Journal" and/or the "Experts" tabs in the Terminal, and check for some unusual messages, please let us know, i haven't tested this yet (am in process of doing so) but i've had this problem with missing indicators in the past.
