Lol, in GJ I did about the same as you do. I had long trades from early Nov 08, around 1.50 / 1.49 area, I kept them all the way through 118.80 (yes 3120 pips negative) and i recently sold the whole bunch with a nice profit.
Obviously I didn't use stops at all there.
In the Auslanco thread they declared me crazy, but I've always said I was going to profit. And when everyone said we're going down to 1.15, I said we won't see 1.18 back for years.

Both, coin is symbol of money and ice-cream is that of happiness in life.

I was trading micro lots there. Now I trade mini lots thats why i switched to EU coz I don't want to trade multiple mini lots GJ, too risky lol

Shamu, this really works. I tested this and several other methods for years. But this is the one I chose for myself. I agree, this looks a bit crazy, but it is not. The only issue with this is that it is not very profitable as compared to others. I am happy with 0.1% to 0.3% a trading day. It is decent money.

I closed everything from last week, so I'm out for now. I am hoping for a move back to the pivot in the first half of the asian market for a good short position. Hay what the hell I may be way off, Have a good one Chicky

You are absolutely right I think I proved it with the GJ trades, but I want a little bit more profit then you can make this way.
I'm aiming at 2.5 % per week and I couldn't get that with the way i traded gj

Maybe I'll make a set-up like this for longs in EU.
I think for the longer term there is way more room to the upside while I think that the downside is limited.
When the money printing in the US starts because we can't borrow all the money we need from China and the Middle East, the dollar definitely has to give in. Okay, inflation will go up and so will the US interest, but all things considered I thing we will see 1.60 again sometime in the future.

Shamu, just one caution. This is a bit risky method. I am a CPA by profession, and therefore able to do extensive risk assessment. I cannot even imagine using this method without this tool. It took me several years and thousands dollar losses to find ways of mitigating risk associated with this method.

Don't worry, I'm very close to CPA (can't get licensed because i only have AS) but I am a Sr. Treasury Analyst (CTP, EA) for a Fort. 500 fin. inst. and I've been in Risk Management assessment for some years before that.
I know what you are talking about.

5abi, These links may help you getting an idea what I NORMALLY try to do, may not be all the times. Kindly note that that there is much more to it. You would appreciate that it is not a system, but the trader behind it that makes the difference. Any system is useless if it does not go with the mind set of the trader using it.
