stopped out with +2 on that one

3 longs today...took a little profit and stopped out up a few

1 long early NY....stopped out -15 when it spiked down to the low of the day.

Been out in the back yard discussing with Bob why I did not reverse short at 5170.

I think I am down 10 pips today!

I missed that reverse at 5170.....had to get the kids from school. The one solider I had came back and hit my s/l.

Just turned on the computer to see that nice fall from the 5130 area.

Don't know how much I be on tomorrow because I have some appointments in the morning.

Just checking to see if anything is going on at the moment.

Thanks guys.. Was quite an obvious entry point fairly tight sl aswell.

Perfect 35/50 cross trade. When ONE candle crosses the 35 and 50 MA's. We enter in the opposite direction on the open of the next candle.. As we can see this trade was perfect.. We also had late entry chances when the candles retested the MA's . Those entries would fall into our 5:00 oclock trade setup.

I have a question. On 15M we had a huge pin at 4:45am. What did tell you not to short there, but keep going up?

The only thing I see that I probally wouldn't have noticed at the time ., but do now is that it is at the 1.5200 and was just a retest of that break. unless it closed below the 00 number. I could see it continuing up. I see 00 numbers as a S/R area where price tends to act like it does at any trendline.

But like I said I might not have noticed that in REAL time and might have tried to short myself. But I wasn't around then..

Maybe some of the more exprienced traders have a different take on it.

My 2cents worth anyway..

I stayed out because of the news at 9.30. The pin formed, the news came out which was better than expected, and then the pound strengthend, and took out the pin.

EDIT: Bah, ignore me, on rechecking my charts, the pin formed AFTER the news.

You are absolutely right about round numbers - they are like mental TL.
And because pins like that one are very tempting, it would be good count to ten and look around one more time.

1.5350 is the 161.8% extension of yesterday's range. That's a very common turning point.
