I am not sure how this works, but i guess its AH prices.
Those are prop exchange rates, not spot forex. You have to factor in the commission they take (typically 1.5-2%)

I was doing my weekly analysis. You may help me on one thing that is bothering me for last several months. I beleive you were in the market at that time. That relates to August 2008. On 7 and 8 August (on daily), market never rebounded. Was it because of Psycho level of 1.5000? or was it because of a major econominc event? I cannot recall it. Your thoughts will be highly appreciated.

Bearish MACD diversion on $SPX (S&P index), DOW and Oil on daily charts. Fridays upmove was on reduced volume. Options expiration next week. All I can say is I am looking for down, but i am not all that certain.

imho, Worth taking a chance. If doesn't work - plenty of pips on upside.

This is the first time I post on this issue but I will not be commenting on the issue of gap per se as there are already enough said by some very intelligent and knowledgeable traders here.

However the thing that piqued my interest is how can a seasoned live forex trader not know that a gap in any base currency will also affects all its crosses ? Afterall this is a very basic forex knowledge. E.G.

EU X UJ = EJ
EU / AU = EAUD
EU / GU = EG
EU X UC = ECHF
EU X UCAD = ECAD

All forex currency are always traded in pairs.

If I am not wrong we had a gap up last Monday....but I don't see many chances for a gap down next week, though last Friday afternoon move has been fast and on light volumes
