This is what i have on my 1hr chart i see the head and shoulder pattern but i dont think the right shoulder is done forming ... dont know what will consider it a finished shoulder but my question is also where and how do i draw the neck line... i know it can slant up down or go straight across what is the difference of them and the meaning and do i have it right on this chart???
My Inv H&S is better and bigger than yours!

Yes i understand that if you got the big bucks and can put money and let it sit for a long period of time days weeks months.. i usually shoot for day to day maybe days but no longer... I usually get my main idea of where its heading using a combination of 1hr 2hr a 4&8 hr along with the daily to get an over all idea.... and am mostly technical that is why i need all the long time trader advice on things like H&S exactly how to map it and draw the neckline in your exp and if i spent too much time on looking at it to miss something important like you already said i did

Is this accurate as to what you found... and if so why is it not the same on my 1hr chart....... can you find it on mine... why did you draw the neck line on such a sharp angle and does it mean anything different than a straight line across

are you talking about my chart or the one i posted of his... on his chart your saying the right shoulder is to the left of the one i circled and is almost at the Head ???

You really need to get a good reference book. Many free websites. It will be a good investment.
Here is the lower TF, and there is no presidence, it's all about the TF you are trading

Bling... it would be helpful you enabled your pm function in your profile so some of this can go off thread at some point.

Here's the thing... a head and shoulders pattern, either normal or inverted/reverse is in fact a Reversal Pattern usually found at one end or another of a larger price move.

What would you say is the larger PA move that your hns (for short) is "reversing" from? It looks to me like price has been in roughly a 200 pip channel since a'rd april 29 sometime, except for a short runup a few dozen pips higher on the 4th.

I'm not sure you can apply a reversal pattern on a 1hr chart to a channel that's been in place for almost a week. Every channel of any duration on any TF will have multiple highs and lows appropriate for that TF that will resemble an hns.

But it's really just typical channel PA, which can cause a lot of grief with false breakouts and whatnot.

I sometimes trade what resembles a shampoo (my other abbreviation) on very short TF's, 3m/6m and so, but I don't post them, nor do i try to apply them to longer TF's. The reason is that it's not a reversal pattern at all, but normal PA off the short term channel walls or Bollinger Bands for that TF.

Hope this helps some. In short, I'm not seeing any shampoos anywhere on your chart, just price bouncing a'rd in fairly well defined channels on different TF's.

doing a little watching the big picture today. i dont know if my lines are accurate or not.. if they are the gate was open for eu and it didnt run in the last few days. we are below the trendline now and sitting on a fib now as this is written 3322 eu. for some strange reason the usd-index (current 83.88) and the eur-index (114.67) are both resting on a near a jan low fib.. the strange thing is both are heading south as i write this. dont makes much sence to me.. a few other observations the chf is also sitting on a fib now (currently 113.25) using nov. high dec. low.. the gbp is playing around a long term fib 150.68... (currently above fib 151.26) it had a run but didnt just yet..so did chf eur. the cad had its chance a few days ago and ran below fib and has yet to look back..more then likely because of oil...i can understand why cad ran but not why the others havent yet...ej reached a recent long term fib and has since backed off... just observing but wondering why this rocket has not taking off yet..

oh looking at the dow and for the fun of it putting a fib using 07 high and 08 low and we just passed the 23.6 mark..about 8200... id keep an eye on this level its 300 points below current level. did the same with s/p its above the 23.6 fib 878 current price 919. they say the s/p is more of an indicator then most.. on economy. i use copper and ej... all are up recently. other then calling things strange most above it not opinion

opinion would be the guys who sold eu at top were smart/lucky.. if they are right the gu has a simuliar opotunity as i write this with great r/r.. opininion is most things point north... but since equitys are fragile and s/p near 23.6 news could change everything this week..if news says this is a bubble.. hang on... most things are hanging on a long term pivot..

im still just scalping.. cover your ass..
