ECB is gonna decide interest rate tomorrow......1/4 point dow is expected any thing lower than that is gonna send the EUR through the roof

I don't think that's a conspiracy theory at all, that is one of the reasons i am waiting for some profit taking on the equity markets, therefore looking for shorts in the EU, which for the moment would look counter-trendish.

For those interested in fundies and waiting for Trichet speech.. I would much rather read stuff about stress test right now. It's much, MUCH more important than EU rate right now.

cant fight city hall..dollar index going down. 3 cents since april 20 ish.... e-index mirror image going up 2.5 cents since april 21ish.. keep an eye on equitys as long as they are going up longs should be safe if bought on pullbacks. lots of things happening on other charts that eu chart has not caught up with. the sun has shown you the light..

Actually, the ECB announces its new Minimum Bid Rate on Thursday (1145gmt). It is projected at 1.00%. In theory, anything lower will actually send EUR/USD down - not up.

Other big news this week is Friday's USD Non-Farm Employment Change. Always stay out of the way of that. (on the sidelines)

I agree with Mikkom's post - pay close attention to the US Banking Stress Tests, which are a week or two late coming, but supposed to come this week. IMO, the news that has leaked about that over the past few weeks is biggest reason for EUR continuing to climb outside downward trend lines.

so....I know you trade the daily charts like I do.....do you think the light is shining north......You do not think we are gonna go back into the 20s?

what I have heard is that the stress will show many banks needing extra liquidity, among which major banks like wells fargo and citi, isn't that reason for the EUR to go down?

after we break trendline maybe... i think its a crock of crap..a big bubble.. but charts tell sit down and shut the puc up. so im scalping or day trading pullbacks north.. but i only traded eu once since last week for a quick scalp..im trading ej north because it doesnt have the longer term trend line..i think ceiling on ej will be easier to break through compared to eu. my account is 6 % bigger then it was when i closed my eu shorts last week..if it aint broke dont fix it.. oh and besides mirror image on uc.. the gu next target is jans high (wk jan 4)

This is the correlation between EU and S&P 500 index, which is trade-able too.

You may be right, but I figured it meant EUR/USD would go up (good for EUR), because of its indication of poorer conditions in US economy.
