it has touch my line that i have been watching ....it can go a little bit more but then it heads that way for awhile... some times a year or more...yuck!!!

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? i hear a report on the way to work this morning about the euro countries economy contracting at twice the pace previously believed....good for me..euro/dollar gonna go down...get to work... sure enough it dropped to around 1.3225...pending homes sales gonna come out...hmm...bit dicey but i believe a lot of folks are taking advantage of fire sales and getting some good houses for cheap...should make e/u go down further....report comes out but what the helll???? e/u goes UP on a favorable report for the dollar?!?!?! WHAT AM I MISSING?

this is just my opinion, but there have been a lot of people short on euro/usd, retail and institutional (big brokers) alike. lots of short covering and stops being hit as the price headed north from fresh bids being put in. couple that with a thin asian market, short covering in the yen crosses due to less risk aversion and you have a strong euro today. not fundamentally strong, but strong enough to run up 200 pips and take out a lot of people's stops. it irks me too. you would think positive us data would cause a strong dollar.

euro is bumping up against daily trend line resistance (around 1.3446 area), so lets see if this thing has any legs.

Some wonder why I don't post trades or what my bias is, asking questions such as "should I keep my long / short???"

Well there were a few earlier today saying others were going the wrong way long and that they should instead look at divergences and how people who were thinking long yada yada so the majority are wrong and they instead should be short.

I think the price action told the story that long was strong and not wrong.

Tomorrow might be another story especially if you listen to the story tellers.

There are so many fib lines in this immediate area it isn't funny. The .25 from the last run up in March, .618 from the last run down in March/April and the .50 from last year. And they are all within 50 points of each other almost overlapping.

I would think price would drop like a rock, but let's see.

One thing to prepare for before a day like today is to watch out for a NR7 day, which is what we had on friday. Going into today you would have been prepared should a trend day develop, as it did after NY stock opening. This often leaves traders scrambling to get in and hurts the traders trading reversals. I also got hurt a couple of trades, but was prepared and so not affected as would otherwise have been.

Congrats to those who got the reversal into the trend. I am not working these long hours to miss those trades, but miss I did.
My stance now is a little downside followed by more upside to near 3500, at which point tomorrow is another day.

I'm really not much of a numbers guy; though, I use them all the time - for some strange reason; and again, I can't pinpoint anything in particular, but this whole move upward just don't smell right (said that in a post this morning too).

Though; there are some things that happened today that may {and I preface - may} be significant.
First and foremost; looking on my weekly, PA popped the SARS.

Now, it tried that 6 weeks ago and got slapped back down like a redheaded step-child (no offense to the redheads out there - I'm married to one).
This time it was the SARS that got slapped around and down. One of two things happen at this point that I've seen in the past - PA gains momentum to the upside - or - PA stalls and retreats, but it does not take long to decide.

Secondly; it's come this far (especially today)to get close to the l/t downward t/l - it's really not that far off now; it's gunna want to touch it. Just for kicks and giggles (and to piss off all the Bears in the stands).

So; as I sit back and watch my anal-ysis go to crap - I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing - that is: trade when my system tells me to and stay out when it tells me to.

I honestly don't much care if it goes up or down - (I'm not married to it either way) I just want it to go - up or down........a lot.

This is not a good news, I hope you gradually make up the loss.

I initially entered for a profit of 3-5% with 1% risk. This morning my profit was about 4.5%, but I decided not to take it. Still carrying my short positions that are now in red, and still adding shorts. But this loss is from my yesterday's early profits. I should have closed 50% of my position when it showed 4.5% profit. I won't go beyond 1.35000. I am with you as far as losses are concerned.

I did see your post earlier this morning about not being right. The reason is that the upmove is being met with selling while at the same time, short covering, as another here as mentioned. Now, fairly soon (could be many hours) those who sold will be hesitant to buy at the highs, and those already long won't add until there is a significant retrace. So, buyers scarce. Price has to come back. Tomorrow I will know the likely level.

i have no problem slapping red head step children... if i had i would slap him/her on basic slapping of redhead children sydrone..

anyway as said numerous times bad news for u.s. is worse news for e-zone.. since we import beamer and shamos.. every action has a reaction.... the fans been hitting the shit for a while now... good news for u.s. is better news for e-dollar..it frees up beamer and shamo money.... at least until the world is right again....but dont dispare we got friday next.. maybe we will get a bad report above 8.6% what goes up must come down... and you should see your doctor after 4 hours...the trend is still a trend until its broken...if we are sitting at the top of trend friday when report comes out friday.. this could be interesting. i was one of the guys euro bullish today ej paid for it...imfuo

be a little careful here. 3520 is where it will want to go now. also once it takes that why would it not like to go and meet 3650-3700 I am flat currently

Here are my trades from last week and last night, which I had high hopes for.

These were taken at a solid Resistance level, fibs, TLs were all in accord and I had even thrown in a sprinkling of indicators (see that stoch overbought and hooking around ), I had good entries yada yada yada

Yet this turned out to be a loser for me. Where did I go wrong? What do I do now after this loss? I am planning to take my revenge aganist this beast and I am long 10 standard lots, see dohllars fall my way in about 15 minutes from now. Lol, nah that is not what I am into. Really I am flat now. This is not even the point of this post.

I would say I was not wrong at all for I am not into forex trading for being right or wrong.Yes! It is that simple (for me anyways). Think about this statement and you will realise how true it is. I have another job that I keep to be right or wrong. I design solutions that are either wrong or right.

When that job is over at 6, I come home, sip my sam adams, and keep my right/wrong hat aside and wear the hat of managing trading. and by managing trading I mean managin risk.

Today was a big upset for me. I lost in one single day aboot 500 pips. But am not disheartened and look forward eagrly to signal of another entry-
To summarise TODAY:

1) It is good to be still in the game. I had set my stops at a certain point, and when I last checked my account the price was aboot a couple dozen away from my stop. I felt like moving my stops another 50, but then I did not. My stop was hit and then moved another 50 + against. I am glad I saved those pips.

2) Though my pip loss may look huge this is less than 1 percent of my account. The opportunity looked very enticing last night to go short larger lots. Had I done that, I may have made more but could have lost more too.

3) I am pissed right now BUT I am not going to short or Long this right now. I see obvious signals right now, but as a trader I am also aware of unusual euphoria going on in market right now and that may push this thing up more.

Last never the least, I leanrt that one days like this I need to lower risk even more. I learnt I need tighter stops.I also leanrt that I frickin need to get more time to trade.
