Price is back where we started - are we going the rest of the way down or just finding out if this is really a support area?

A break of 3200 on the 1hr and a close will convince me.

Most EW traders pay attention to wave counts and forget about time. I use it as a way to determine trend or countertrend and rhythm, then don't use for entries, but use it for exits. You don't need it at all for trading. It helps though to maximise a winning run. There is one pattern I use to profit from fairly consistently.

I completely agree with you. Time is such an important factor when using EW, standard theory should give you an indication of how long the consolidation periods are going to be. I.e. of wave 2 is short and sharp, wave 4 is likely to be long & drawn out. You are better off using this theory with Fib studies.

The Euro (EUR/USD) rose strongly in the Sunday session, gaining 60pips and testing the high reached on Friday. Also, the Euro is trading above the trend-line that connects the 23March and the 6April highs, although the market has been holding an uncertain pattern over the last few days of trading.

i wouldnt bet the farm yet on a short just yet... expect consolidation 3247 on eu and 84.66 on ui.. were we are now.. im not saying a short is not a good trade. but be aware of where you are.

sorry, I was a stowaway....got on the train @ 1.3250.....and just jumped off @ 1.3230.....if you look close you'll seeing me waving behind the tree...http://www.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
