Gotta do your own reading, here is some cuts from the article in fortune magazine.

Kovacevich ought to be happy. The sun is shining in
San Francisco on an early April morning, shares of Wells Fargo,
where Kovacevich is chairman of the board, have almost doubled
in a month, and Wells appears to have survived the worst of the
banking crisis with its reputation intact (so far). Yet Kovacevich,
at 65 a pugnacious and famously outspoken banker, is peeved, to
put it mildly. He’s miffed at short-sellers
who have hammered Wells Fargo as if
it were one of those troubled-asset repositories.
He bemoans the media for
failing to recognize Wells Fargo’s achievements. Most of all, he’s seething with anger
at Washington for all sorts of bad decisions, from making a show of big-bank stress
tests (which he has publicly called “asinine”) to giving him exactly one hour to accept a
$25 billion investment in October from the controversial Troubled Asset Relief Program,
or TARP. “I’m willing to say the emperor has no clothes,” Kovacevich says,
“The facts are so obvious,” he booms. “It’s just not credible that
you would give $25 billion to someone who didn’t need it.”

Being forced to be naturalized by the gov't and taking money are two totally different ideologies. It expands in the article that wellsfargo has now tried to pay back the money 2 times which was rejected by the federal gov't. All banks in the US were forced to give up stock to the US gov't for this new nationalzation effort. Look at what the NFA is doing to us telling us we can't hedge by your thinking we are all wanting that?

before a magazine wells advertises in, pats them on the back for all the money they are making.. remember this.. you are subsidized on taxpayers back.. you get basicly free money cause you charge interest and screw that up..any idiot could make money by being middle man getting money one price then marking it up 4% and 28% to cc users.. and screw that up and need tarp.. you are subsidized no different from anyone getting food stamps.. its the system. so as long as your getting food stamps dont talk down to the payers of your bills..

wow! It amazes me how people like you don't bother to find the actual truth just take things for face value. Is that why wells fargo is the ONLY US bank on the worlds safe banking list? Educate yourself before you speak not everything the media says is right.

BS get it right.. not all banks. some banks didnt need it.. if you wanted to pay it back you could have just like my hometown bank did iberia..google it
