yes i know where you are coming from,

believe me, i started trading like a headless chook, i am caught up in the short term trades the quick pips, i quickly realised this is the quickest way to LOSE money

so now i am only trading 5-6 times a day and looking at the 1 day and 4H charts opening the position in the morning (australia time and closing around 9pm) i may keep some positions overnight, i feel uncomfortable keeping positions overnight when i am sleeping.

yesterday i bagged $230 my best ever result by looking at the longer time frames, i know im not going to do this day in day out, my aim is $100 per day and i slowly want to build my balance up, slowly patiently!

open size acount is 8% of my total account.

Just because you are a newbie doesn't mean you have to become another statistic. Find another broker where you can trade micros, go an a demo until you really learn the ropes and save yourself some money and headaches. Just my opinion.

i think size of position should be as big as you feel comfortable, i use 5-15% and doing o.k.. My idea is, if you have made good analysis and adding on positive movement why not increase posistion size.
