It is not your imagination it is a clear possibility...however there are 3 issues I have with it (and you know how I follow patterns big time).

1)It is just too large, considering this possible flag is roughly 650 pips when the whole trend up was 13000pips...this is pretty much 50% retracement when a normal bull flag retraces a lot less...usually no more then 38.2%

2)A bull flag usually has a consolidation downwards area with each push down making a lower low as well as a lower high. The lower high criteria is met but the lower low is not.

3)With the volatility these days...daily patterns are highly unreliable, only areas of major consolidation and strong support/resistances should be taken into account.

Thanks Spsantos, I now can see a handle forming, but still maintain my opinion about a bull flag.

I try to find logic behind patterns. A bull flag to me is profit taking after a sudden upward move or one can say some consolidation after an over bought situation (and vice versa for a bear flag).

What is the significance of a cup and handle? Does it denote indecision on part of bulls or bears?

A cup & handle is usually a bullish signal, *but* for it to have more reliability, the retracement from the bottom shouldn't be much more than 38.2%.

So i don't give it too much value, i agree with psiholog on the current situation, with so much volatility everything can change in a blink of an eye

Yes, I can see it too but not too sure on the bull things.
Now. assuming it is indeed a bull, mabbe you can fill us in on how to trade in that context with a specific entry/exit/sl level ??

Always try to learn more and more still.......

im no sexpert but i dont see the horns... or the balls... neither do i c tets... but i could be wrong.

Thanks Psi. I have credited 2 cents to your account.

Now one more thing - do you think these exceptions to this bull flag are because of it forming too close to Psycho level of 1.3000? Buying pressure just above 1.3000 should prevent it making lower lows. Again flag may got stretched in a bid to reach 1.3000.

Whatever it is, I expect a healthy bounce whenever it gets near to 1.3000, a lot of horizontal support just below this level.

You try to find logic?
In a month were all major corporations come out with their 1st quarter earnings releases?
And in a time were we might, or might not, see "glimpses of hope" for the economy?

Could be either. Check out www.tradingpricepatterns.com very nice tool for the arsenal if you really want to trade using PA. But, I don't trust technicals too much. In this market, Madoff is more reliable.
