With the collapse of major US investment banks NY is no longer what it used to be, things may change later, but if you dig large moves, London is where to look to currently.
Thanks for your good wishes, you too. It is voluntary retirement, 15 years ahead of time. I worked several years saving and demo trading to get to this point. Don't know how it will go, but can afford to lose without regret or adversely affecting my family. Once off the job hook, will be able to trade any market at anytime of the day - Ny, London or Tokyo.

china will announce 2009 Q1 GDP and economic data in a news conference starting 1hr later.

expectation is 2009 Q1 vs 2008 Q1 everthing has sharp decline
except money lending increase significantly
(yuan locks usd so more money is printed same time as Fed prints money)

2009 Q1 vs 2008 Q4 the decline speed is slowing down

the media is building an expectation that the slowing down drop has indicated that economy has bottomed and will recover. (why it is not testing a resistance level?)

some crazy money is trying to rush on this announcement.

EUR/USD had a Breakout from the Minor Triangle as seen in Chart. The Ideal Target of which should be 1.353x Level. But considering the the Minor & Major Trend line of the Flag Formation we should ideally initially target 1.331x Level, Followed by 1.345x Level. However a breakout above 1. 345x Levels also would mean the breakout of the Flag Pattern which should give us a Target of 1.46xx Level.

It has second time broken that Minor Trend line. It broke this line earlier this morning b/w 6:00 and 7:00 am Eastern Time when it went up to 1.3300. Yes, a big move up or a wide and wild range is very much possible.
