To me, I never place orders like that, so I can't really help.

I went short at 1.3198 S/L 1.3239. Should any bar close above 1.3214, I know the trade is not going to work and would close it out. I only have a long S/L to cover against spiking up/stop run.

Actually I was trying to highlight the area where a breakdown of would consider a sustained breakout of the trendline, but for some reason I couldn't do it with Snagit because of some combination you should mix to get the perfect shadow, after some tries.. I gave up /_

You were just trying to highlight the area you consider as strong support that needs to be broken for a "sustained" move to the downside. Your point came across (I noticed the candlesticks after all)...still I suggest making a note next time to make it fully clear for curious minds like my own if it's not too much trouble.

im looking at some long term indicators on other usd crossed and their showing dollar weakness (gu au nu).. using same indicators uc and eu are basicly neutral... im wondering if we are about to shift to the bulls in the next week or so.. see what you think longer term..last time these indicators showed this was august as the big move reversed on these three pairs..i will give these indicators more respect since we broke some newer highs on gbp

Hi Gator,

I haven't posted in a while, but your post caught my attention. I would agree that we're headed for something - as usual - but I don't know what. Note in my weekly chart that we are fairly close to the corner of a triangle, formed by some trendlines with very significant start dates and price points. The right downward TL of this triangle starts at 7/13/08 (1.6035) and touches 12/14/08 (1.4719). The bottom TL, on a slow upward slope, starts at 12/01/05 (1.1661) and touches 11/9/08 (1.2388). I have had this drawn on my weekly for a long time, just watching. If it holds, the breakout is still several weeks away, but I also think we've been in a 2-3 month state of consolidation similar to this time last year. We could be in for another wild summer.
