Hi guys, I'm learning the basics of the Force system. I've attached a chart showing my entry with the red vertical line.

Was this a valid entry and the market just turned against the system?

Or should I have waited for the candle I entered to have closed and fire on the next candle?

Were you entering under the vanilla force 5 rules, or the advanced or expert?

Please let me know if my entry was valid again. I am concerned if I entered at the correct candle or should have waited for that candle I entered to close instead before entering.

Planned for TP @ 20 pips but lost the discipline and TP at 15 pips. Happened several times. Often noticing it goes up to excess of 30 pips whenever I jump the gun.

Has any one keeping track of statistics. Like 2009 year to date results.

For the basic rules, the most recent one isn't right. You needed to wait for the candle that turned the MACD green to close first.

The one before looks OK, although some here will stay out of the trade if the signal candle is too big. If you think about it, if the signal candle is too big, then the move may be mostly over by the time you enter. That's not part of the rules.

Obviously no set of rules is going to give 100% winners. Sometimes you'll get stopped out for the full 20 pips (or whatever your stop was).

its a bit quiet here caus a lot of activities are on the vforce i think.

my trading last friday was a loss , though i was in the force5 chatroom i dit not trade the force5 system and rules .
i thought i could do better following my own rules cause on the advanced force5 there was so manny signals, long and short and long and so on.

talk in the chatroom also says :
following each and every force5 advanced signal should not be so good.

I spend the saturday, thinking about TLs and S&R to give me better entries, to filter out the fakes.

Looking at the chart and analysing my trades i was a bit surprised:
cause even if i had followed all the advanced force5 rules i would have came out with a nice profit.

so i took the simulator to simulate the friday trades, first from 6:00 GMT (what also is my regular start of the day) till lunchtime, what is for me arount 11:00 GMT

normaly i enter a trade as soon as the Signalcandle is finished.
But if there is a trend ,what means i could draw a trendline like here on the chart from the 6:35 low to the 7:50 Low , and the signal is contrary i wait for a break of the signalcandle extrem.

MM: 50% at 10 pips sl adjust to B/E
30% at 20 pips
20% at 30 pips

to complete this, i show u the rest of the friday.

Even though its not good to trade during important news and on a friday afternoon after news, u can see the simulator trades still leads to profit.

Again i dit not trade this , i quitted friday at lunchtime , just to show what could have been done trading the basic and advanced rules.

on my chart, the 8:25 candle was the signalcandle. you enter as soon as this candle is closed

i started this morning with a small loss.
Normaly thats not worth talking about but in this case there is something i should learn:
i was waiting of a retracement after some 50 pips longmove and took the shortsignal at 6:50 gmt. The move startet with red but then the candle closed green and i closed the trade.
Thats OK so far what scares me is, after price made a new high only 2 pips higher as the former , i dit not stick to my plan and dit not enter the very next short.
I was to scared from the loss or what was it?

The next signal was start of a nice downmove

Force5 is still my favorite way to make pips every day.

Force5 has taught me price action to a level where it is simply fun.

Notice the close prices for 'big signals' are important S/R levels.
This is a way to measure when to confirm or reverse a signal.

Hi Robdee,

What an interesting insight u gave when u said Force 5 big candles close price will act as support and resistance. Big candles definition would be 20pips and above? Or candles that are say 2 or more times bigger relatively than the previous candles at a particular time preiod / session.
