Let me think again. Gold down means dollar strong. Dollar strong means more euro required to buy a dollar. So the price should go up. Thanks me.

that is exactly what i said, E/U goes higher if gold goes down. per your original post it seemed you meant that e/u is going down with a declining gold.

I got the quote from GCI. It now says 846.88/847.53. I do not trade S&P, only use it for reference. I don't know how they fix these rates.

Initially the fifth will be a pain in the neck, but then you will get accustomed to it. Then you will start liking it, becasue it will show more ticks and you feel market is moving. Why they have fifth decimal? I don't really know.

I remember talking about this. In fact your thought made me check the gold price. But, 10 to 35 dollar moves are considered normal play for gold. The thing that worries me is that it has broken 880 level. But there is one very strong horizontal resistance zone just below that i.e. 875/850. I hope it bounces from here.

Well whatever way they do it is wrong. I get my quotes (which I pay for) from the CME directly where the S&P is traded.

If you don't believe me though (not saying you don't ) check out the website cmegroup.com for delayed quotes as well as info on the contract's description showing minimum point size move, i.e. 0.10 large contract and 0.25 for the eMini.

The cash S&P 500 moves in fractional amounts of 0.01 but that is only active when the NYSE stock market is open 9:30am-4:00pm ET M-F.

This indy will let you change timezones to something different than your server timezone. It is preset at "2" for Local Tz (MT4 server time) and "0" for Destination Tz (GMT). If you use MT4, there is no need to change the Local setting. But you can change either to accomodate other server times. There may be a few times a year when this indy will not work, as it calculates every session to be 24 hours. So, if we have holidays and sessions that are not a full 24 hours, this indy will not work properly until a full 24 hour session has been completed again. Aside from that, it is a full featured pivots indicator.

SunTrader, thanks for sharing. Yes, in this case it should always be multiple of .10 or .25. However, I juse GCI just to check prices of indices and commodities, do not trade with them because they do not accept clients from the US or UK. Let them calculate the way they want.. Thanks for this information, maybe I check with them how they fix their quotes.
