on the eur/cad weekly chart this is a dark cloud cover,now bones and peaches, how do u 2 trade these on a daily ,do u wait for a down day on the monday as your conformation of the dark cloud cover, if u dont want to answer the last part i understand

dont know if u go back as far as monthly charts,but the gbp/usd has had the last 3months of indecision,i know the month has not finished,bouncing of the trendline nicely ,tell me if u dont go back that far

I want to thank all the regulars here, especially peaches.... Wondering how the starter of the thread, hussin naiji, is? Hope all is well, haven't seen him here for a couple weeks.

Hi John, very well spotted !

First, part of definiton for dark cloud cover, taken from "Encyclopedia of Candlestick Charts" by Thomas N. Bulkowski:

Number of candle lines: Two.
Price trend : Upward leading to the start of the candle pattern.
First day: A tall white candle.
Second day: A black candle with the open above the prior high and a close
below the midpoint of the prior day’s body.

Criteria matched for the weekly eur/cad candle, you may see good on the weekly chart attached.

Entry point is very difficult to decide, I think a good trader waits for price going maximum against him. So if you trade a weekly candle, you have to decide on lower timeframe, when to enter (short in this case).

If you look at the daily, you see price has broken downward to a support area, but question is, will price truely stay below this area (blue area at the left) ?

On the last 4 h candle you see the power of the bulls (lower wick), which pushed the price back higher, so we have to watch and wait, will price go back up through this support/resistance area to touch the red trendline, or are bulls gone, and price will free fall ?

If I look at this 4 h chart, I see price moving in waves, and question is, will price compleed next upwave, or will it be rejected from the blue area ?

I watch at monthly candles, when monthly candle is closed, just to get a "feeling" for direction (based on candles bodys, wicks, color, maybe a candle pattern). I am very interested to see this monthly candle, especially the color.

Hi john,

yes of course. If you see a row of red candles, and the last candle is a green one, this is indication of change in trend. This is in general, not necessarily for GU.

But I`am expecting a doji line, and maybe further drops for GU (without analyses this time ).
