Are you think that Aus reach 0.8250?

In weekly chart, if the currently level 8200s surpass, the next level should be the gray number 2, 8500 level, and then number 3, 8900, the 4 is 9600.

Because now it is in the first gray number 1 big resistance, it might get some retrace but i would not think retrace huge. Even the rate unchange can't stop the bull run, hmmmm.

I am prepare to go short first, then if breakout the number 1, go long to number 2, then 3,4..

But this hapen not next week I think befor must be corective trend. And Yen big corection trend seen near time? Because is need reset to lower level

In my humble opinion I personally don't think the Aussie will break 8250 until we see some data to push it to 8400 - 8500. All though there was agresive buying after the rate announcement I think the market will be focusing on the inflation figures later this month (24th) for a possible interest rate rise in May. If the inflation figures are high I think you will see it push through the 8250. The resistance is very strong around this area and I believe we need some strong data to push it through. However the carry trade seems to be strong influence here.

how much does d nfp usually affect the aussie....100-150 pips like gu??

Hmmm... Your opinion... whats level look aus on next week ?my is 0.795 reach before australian CPI index.

I cant seem to find any threads on this pair. So I decided to start one. The pair is in an obvious uptrend, so where does everyone see it going from here? I know gold is a huge driver for the aussie, is there any other useful tools out there for this currency? Thanks.

I think current rise seems to be over near 0.8171. I expect then an extended move down to 0.8146 -0.8124 area.

Looks like this pair is chasing an old high from Nov96 !

If it doesn't break through I would expect to see a drop back to the 0.7000's but hey, anything can happen.

I got +10 pips last week.

Imo it's already good to short this pair around this time now. Maybe it might hit 0.8250 first before going down. Just my opinion.

It's all about the yen carry again. A good indicator will be AUD/JPY rumoured offers at 99 ahead of 100 handle. If that holds and cap the rally then we can see a nice correction.
