Your not following the DIBS method at all. Your not even bending the rules. Your just trading random Inside Bars.

One of the main requirements is the Time of Day, 0600 GMT. Trading the proper direction of an IB off this Open is what the method is all about.

If you can provide posts that come a little close to that requirement I would appreciate it.

Random inside bars? I have clearly stated that I use the most recent session open, which in this case is the NEW YORK OPEN, for the DIBS trades. The results speak for themselves.

New York open is not part of the DIBS method for a reason. You may want to start a thread using just the New York Open. That would be interesting.

I use the most recent market open since I am usually asleep when London opens. I may catch the last hour or 2 of the London session before New York opens. Like is stated before, DIBS is fine "AS IS" and I'm not trying to change it. I just trade.

Unfortunately, for those who have not been here to catch DIBS since the beginning, the thread is becoming a bit confuse... Almost impossible to get the grip from now...

M4N, I appreciate your contributions to this thread. I would like to reign in this thread to just follow the DIBS method as described on the 1st post.

I don't want to cause confusion to others that are still learning and/or practising this method.

Yup, sorry, typing with a broken finger! Sure did mean CME. Original post edited. Thanks for pointing the typo out.


But this is NOT a mini on the forex - it is a micro on fx futures - e-micro forex futures - brand new as of yesterday.

Futures Contract Symbols are:
EUR/USD M6E (Contract Size 12,500 euros) http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/fx/f...fications.html
GBP/USD M6B (Contract Size 6,250 British pounds)
AUD/USD M6A (Contract Size 10,000 Australian dollars)
USD/CHF M6S (Contract Size 10,000 U.S. dollars )
USD/CAD M6C (Contract Size 10,000 U.S. dollars)
USD/JPY M6J (Contract Size 10,000 U.S. dollars)
I am not going to post the whole contract specs as you can easily change the currency pair and check that yourselves.

Yes Jarroo, thanks for asking, . Woke up this morning to a nice 350 pip move. My 'mission' this week was to 'stay in the trade'. I guess I got a perfect opportunity! Now I just need to manage the trade. I have a selection of MAs to try out as stoploss mechanisms.
