Proper sleep and rest and not over trading is key to profiting also.

Dunno if I'm going to have time to trade tommorow yet

I would think that fixed spread is not the most important thing.
Financial stability is for me much more important.
But that is maybe because I didn't lose my first account with bad trading, I lost in in the bankruptcy of Refco and 2 years later I got 20% back from the bankruptcy court.
Since then I trade with Oanda and the only problems I have with them is no trailing stop and very poor charting. But I use MT4 charting.

If I see a reason, of course I'll get out sooner.
When the gap is filled I'll place s/l 20 pips or so above it. with more than 30 pips average profit locked in.

I agree with you on fixed spread. I can live with that though sometimes tough for my method which is purely based on bookmaking principles, and nothing like forex to apply them profitably.

I had to temporarily close a long and babysit the pa just becuase Oanda doesn't offer trailing stop. However, I try to use Jacko's anti-hedge to compensate for trailing stops. Charting is not a major issue for me, their OHLC is good enough for me as I am not very much a "technical" trader though consider pivots and fibs.

One caveat on this is that there are some borkers who seem to have smaller net capital than others, but from what I am led to understand, they have never had any problem getting access to more funds should it be necessary. Depends on who their hooked up with.

In other words they're good for it, altho it's not all in one basket and showing up on this report. So there might be a borker who "looks" bigger, but really isn't cuz what you see here is all there is.

I'm sure there's a better way to say this...
