Stick to regular hours Chicky if your day trading short term stuff, it's too stop starty as there isn't enough volume to create momentum.

I keep hearing this kind of thing and about forex being 24/7 but...

Can anyone tell me... who is trading between NY close and Sydney open? and how we can view or even trade those times?

Hi KillerWhale,

Why should we pay 10 pips when we consider 2 pip a fair wage?

10 pip is 5% of 200 pips and I only risk 0.3 to 3% on a move.

Brokers offereing fixed spread have a red * - fine print says "in normal market conditions". This is not their fault, it is the market mechanics. They have to match bids and offers, or take a risk - 8 pips is their risk fee.

I should better stick to normal market hours and not pay risk fee.

Yep. I've traded every gap I could find for a long time now. It's as close to a sure thing as I've found in a market.

The difference is this:
I'm in the trade and I'm already in profit. You wait till the spread goes down, So you have no loss and no profit. I'd rather have my profit then having nothing at all.

What you said makes sense. Probably I am more risk averse than one should be.

I look at it this way - Whoever trades in low liquidity hours takes risk, whether it is broker or trader. Brokers get risk premium and traders get negative risk premium (becuase trader gets no premium plus has to pay broker a permium). This makes it no zero sum game.

Looking at a short around 1.3620 tp 1.3583 just to fill the gap (on my charts). Overall we could see further moves down as double top last Friday still stands and my 4x1 was hit as well. Sorry not chart today maybe later.

Its just that I saw a possibility to get in at a good level.
I'm not trading just because I have to trade. Many weeks I don't trade on Sunday afternoons.
