Pattern Explanation

: Market is characterized by downtrend. The upper shadow should be at least two times the length of the body. The real body is at the lower end of the trading range. There should be no lower shadow or a very small lower shadow.

The Inverted Hammer tells us that the market opened near its low, then strongly rallied and finally backed off to close near the opening.

Inverted Hammer is a bottom reversal candlestick.


Important Points



: Bullish verification on the day following the inverted hammer isrequired. This verification can be in the form of the next day opening above the inverted hammer’s real body. The larger the gap the stronger the confirmation will be.

My analysis was wrong I guess...so sorry...

For those that got in long at 4420, you should have taken 25 off and set the rest at +3 now. That's where I'm at. The 15m chart shows the entry very clearly.

I was thinking the same. The 1H was a hangman. But price seemed to continue to drop which confused me, before rising again, so some indecision before actually making the move northwards.

the h1 your referring to is an inverted hangman. It can burn your ass at times. Price typically does drift down on the following candle, it can either continue to fall or rise back up. That's when your lower time frame (15m chart) will show you an entry. I would not enter on the h1 alone with the inverted hangman.

Ah, I see. So hangmans coupled with prior PA are the ones to enter on. A hangman out there on it's own isn't good enough to trade.
