5hours behind the UK, so 8:10pm I think Thursday still there, depending on what coast your on, 5:10pm I think on the West Coast for very anti social trading times.

So want to go Euro Long here for a bounce against my system with no clearly defined exit strategy which means I'll hold it till my accounts bust if it sells off, must resist!!

And yes this works 100% of the time in a demo account and sells off 100% of the time on my live account, CRAZY!!

Quick Question for those that trade the Asian Session. About what time does it start to move? I know the standard answer is "varies" but is it after London opens or is it always like this?

Goto www.alpari.co.uk and download the Demo of there system, that'll give you there chart system for free for ever, just keep opening a account when it runs out.

Strangely no $USD Feed on my Alpari UK Version maybe only for live accounts ??

Just curious how big your account is if a $20 s/l is too much.
If your account is small like $500 or $1000, I would just say: don't trade $1 per pip, that's way too much.
But that's a thing you have to cope with yourself.

Yes. Now is Thursday evening in North America. Coincidentally, it's also Thursday evening in Central and South America

For those looking at "what time is it in...", I recommend timeanddate.com. If you're looking at a particular, just google "time in CityName" (without the quotes)

If you have the app installed on your sys, you can go the options area and change the data feed provider.

If you need the app, get it here: http://www.metaquotes.net/downloads/

Once installed, open her up and do this:

Select the "Tools" menu
Select "Options"
Go to the "Server" tab
Under "Server:" enter the IP "65.175.79.18:443" {without quotes}
Uncheck the box "Data Center auto configuration"
Click OK

The go to "File" menu
Select "Open an Account"
Enter your details and click Next
Then make sure you select the FOREX Ltd or 65.175.79.18:443 feed
Click next and you're done

FWIW... The real enemies to your capital are these... Central banks, Market movers, Borkers, and the "news trades".. News trades are just simple justifications for the Centrals and MM to justify massive moves... News is a convenient, and sadistic play that the Market Movers use... If the monster move of yesterday would not have largely benefited the Centrals, then it would have like so many other times, came and gone without a glitch... The purpose for all this "nonsense" is to say that the only real friend you have in this business is a Stop-loss. I have 2 stoplosses in every trade... The first is a mental stop, which is usually about 30 pips.... However, I like to let it breath a little if it's nearing my mental stop... So this is where the second stoploss comes in... I apply a physical stop-loss 30 pips beyond that, simply for the very reasons of yesterdays move. There would have been no way I could have executed a mental 30 pip stop. But the safety net of a physical 60 pip stop-loss saved me from what could have been alot worse. I am a fan of mental stops, yet also savey enough to know that my "real enemies" are out to get me...

12:30am GMT from the look of the chart, doesn't always move ofcourse, I think this time is whats killed my account a few times trading chop then they kick in and wipe me!!

I entirely agree that it may be good to go short...on Friday

If I was on the sidelines, I would just stay out. Not judging anyone who does, just stating a preference. I generally don't like the Friday madness and prefer to keep it for the pub.

That being said, because the stoch on the weekly is not overbought yet (it's getting close but not yet), my position is unchanged from yesterday. I'm still a bull.

It moves a bit if there is no bank holiday in Japan.

9:00 pm and 1:00 am (Eastern Time - These are current timings adjust for daylight saving).

There she goes, IF I was trading Chop, I'd of likely of doubled my position expecting this is just chop and it'll likely sell back for ever.


MikeTodd, I agree I should have a worse case, my internet goes down, I totally freeze or a real quick move, Stop which @30pips should be fine for me, just lazy.
