It will be a crash of monetary system before FED becomes national institution. Your wish my friend. What Thomas Jefferson said back then is damn right on the spot but there is no single man or organization that will ever control FED. FED is the biggest company in the world and they all report to them.

Did anyone notice that in that 1 minute gold went up almost 4,000 pips.

a movement so fast is like a gap... the only difference is that brokers are opened and you can see the candle. but it is the same.... and many brokers shut down for that minute... or appear as if they have problems with the server.... it is a gap.

I found this 800 pip move from yesterday but no 4000 pip moves

the dust is still settling on what bb has done... every action has a reaction... weaker dollar u.s buys less imports... we buy less imports ... we sell more exports since their cheaper... put it on a scale..less imports will decrease deficit..and possiblly make dollar less weak then thought... the wildcard is will u.s. consumer buy more with easy money?? if this scare has made u.s. consumer wiser or not is the big question... as in all things it affects each one differently. and some u.s. consumers will never put themselfs in this position again..many will never be in equitys either. gasoline is less then half of what it was less then a year ago.. and yet supply is growing and demand down.. and at the same time refineries have cut back production... we could go either way still or sideways... for a while.. trade what you see.. be careful the same thing that put eur up here can pull it down just as quick...

I agree with gap like actions.

When ticks move major pips that can be viewed as a gap..

Forex wont have gaps per se because of its nature, but when someone short has a stop at (example) 1.2500 while trading at 1.2490 and that stop is filled at 1.2578 because the tick was 80 pips, thats a GAP.

I'll explain more about gaps in forex.
forex is 24hours market. I know there is no gaps in forex... like in other markets that open and close... some brokers close forex during the weekends.... and that's why you don't see the weekends candles on sunday open and then people say there is a gap in a currency pair. But in fact. there are no gaps in forex.... but that's not true.
sometimes price moves so fast that if you want to put an order at a price you can't, because price has jumped to a higher of lower price.... because there where no sellers or buyers at that particular price. and then you have the slippage... and those little gaps can be accumulated in a short period of time, leaving a lot of small gaps in a minute. and I consider that minute like a big gap but that's a personal option only. I see gaps as a problem of liquidity in the market. as a signal to reduce my leverage / risk.

Perhaps we see the same situation from a different perspective. It's more observing than watching. Imagine that you are in the box and we're looking down at you. I wouldn't prefer the expressions "conspiracy", more like logic and common sense.

I don't know whats wrong with you but you made it on my list. Whenever you write something in this forum its against Europe. That itself wouldn't be wrong but the way you do its just annoying. Good luck with your trading in the future.
