mate I've been on those autobahns and if your doing 120mph people are still bombing past you at SPEED!! It's great fun tho, I think I've heard of a holiday firm that rents out supercars for autobahn booting as fast as you can upto nearly 200MPH, the German gov't are not impressed by this co. tho

And be careful with those rental cars. Went a couple of years ago and got a Volvo that had governor that wouldn't let it go over 200kmh (~125-130mph). This past year we had a Mercedes wagon which was slower than that, probably a good thing though as it was Volkfest (smaller Oktoberfest held in Stuttgart)..

BTW - If you see lights flashing in the distance in the rearview mirror, get to the right lane as they'll be on your bumper before you know it..

Yeah me too, back when I was stationed at Hahn AB, first time out on the Autobahn, I thought I was cool doing 90mph, until I saw this car flashing his lights at me so I slide over and he passed me like I was standing still.....
