It's looking toppy, after my last near miss I'm not doing anything yet.

anyway oil is @ $50+

so usually usd weakens right?

i was just looking at eur/usd, usd/chf, usd/jpy, gbp/usd, aud/usd and even the geppy (but for this pair one must turn a blind eye to yesterdays spikes)

what do they all have in common?...potential for h&s reversal patterns...with pa being at the heads right now. i see this on the 15min charts. of course too early to say but i will follow this up after us session close if that is indeed what is happening

dont count the dollar out yet...not on the long term at least

I definitely see the "Half H&S" on the 15M Chart, but do you really think that there is a possibility that the second shoulder will occur? This baby would have to drop down over 200 pips just to get to the same level as the first shoulder.

in my experience any move based off news releases retreats to the level the pa was at time of news release. in other words....while it seems highly improbable right now...its definetely not impossible. Considering this run up started at 1.3100...600pip move up based off news...whats 200pips retreat and then later another 300. Still..further pa is needed so its something to watch for right now

Interesting, I will be watching for it (and hoping it happens).

By the way, if it does happen the 15 minute chart will be the most beautiful example of an H&S ever recorded. It already kind of looks like a skinny guy wearing shoulder pads....

5SMA on a M1 chart is kinda key, but trying to use this off.

5M 24SMA ( 2hour ) and 48SMA ( 4hour ) and 288SMA ( 1 day )

the 2Hour just capped the top of that move multiple times and is just turning down.

Market will likely remain range bound between 2 hour and 4 hour though.

My profits are all small averaging @10pips which long term is not good, this needs WORK!! SOON!! then cracked

I'm skeptical of going short after looking at the weekly charts.

In the shorter-term... we had an HS pattern forming yesterday just before the big jump.

As for the jump being news related... it wasn't necessarily... pumping a ton of USD into the system is more than just news.

I'm going to be playing shorts and longs and looking to catch a breakout then close the losing trade rather than position averaging it.

Exactly, if you want to see how the reaction and the possibility of this driving inflation up, just look at what gold did today, biggest gain in a while because of the people who feel the gold is a safe haven against inflation. Bloomberg had a segment on this, this morning how the quick strike of 1Trillion will have short term positive effects, medium negative effects and long term long term positive effects but it is needed because we have to take 2 or 3 steps back before we can take 5 or 7 steps forward. Short term inflation goes up but long term we will pull out. Just my analyzation of what Bloombergs report was... any thoughts?

and this is why this forum exists...to compare opinions and strategies. by no means am i suggesting to alter your strategy but hey if it happens...best to be aware it may happen so you can be on the right side of the trade. as far as h&s yesterday...all i saw was a consolidation at the high with a h&s on the 1min charts when 1.3525 was reached which pushed down to 1.3425 therefore completing it. That level could just be the left shoulder if this h&s plays out...to be seen

It's a Global issue, whats likely to happen is they'll let inflation run riot which kinda reduced the huge personal debt levels everyone is in, which will then free up more credit and the bubble can run again to repeat in 10years time again.

EURUSD is just going to react to who ever has the bad news at the time, USA has bad news it'll rise, Euro has bad news and it'll sink.

Nothing more to trade off sadly.
