I hear what you are saying too, but this is not the penny stock market where maybe 60 people in the world own the entire float of a company. This is Forex where it is completely possible for everyone on this board to profit all at once. I don't feel that someone here has to lose for me to win.
Personally, I will be happy if I never see another forum pump and dump trader typing "It's going to the moon" as he is selling his penny stocks into the rush.
I never seen something that could be so easily manipulated in my life.
But yeah, to go back to Forex. If we all can profit at the same time, great. It's not like I'm blowing raspberries at people losing pips but I just shrug and say "shit happens!" knowing that if the person is competent enough, he/she will make them back. And I don't have a funeral over my own losses nevermind someone else's. I would expect someone else to treat me the same way.

Somehow, I don't believe that will ever happen.
If two people on this thread are using the same broker (more so if it's a bucket shop), it is quite possible that ones gain is anothers loss.
Personally I would like Forex Factory to put Oanda out of business

Not if they both trade in the same direction..then it's possible that they both profit and the bucket shop loses...especially if they didn't lay it off in time

actually the bucket shop doesn't really lose in any case.
They hedge and buy/sell once they have total orders in from clients or as it happens. (i would think)
so they have a vested interest in their clients doing well because they take the commission spread on every trade you make. So they want you to survive so that you make more trades and hence they take the commision.
