ive said a few times that i have a 123 strategy, but i was referring to a different pattern. the 123 i am familiar with is where you have 3 up or down bars in a row, then you reverse on the fourth. its basically a momentum reversal pattern, and i find it works best with stock market futures (ie S&P futures).
i dunno if its the same as jim's but its basically a failure swing pattern: price tries to make a higher high or lower low but fails and you can either take a position on a good reversal bar or candle pattern or break below the neckline.

I went short at 1.1937 and now I set stop loss at BE. I want to sleep, cannot look at what happens. anybody supports my idea to set profit target at 1.1880?
Or my stop will be triggered (Do not think so)????

Merlin, as far as you were asking about that 1-2-3 set up, I think I have a PDF that discusses what he was using in pretty interesting detail. There is some confluence w/ James16's price action analysis.

I went short at 1.1961.
Still expect the rate to fall below 1.19.
My target is around 1.1870 as well. May take a little longer, maybe first retracement to 1,20 plus.

We're sitting just below 23.6 fibo and r1 with a prior resistance level and have a 4hr double top. With all the date out the next two days it might not be advisable.

There's a hour and a half for the next 4hr bar to complete so I'll stay up and see what happens.

There was a very nice trade from the hit of the 1.2000 level down to the rising uptrend line starting from Oct 19th. The hit on the trendline was also the daily pivot AND the 50% fib.

A sweet trade of +35 pips.
Always wait for the opportune moment… just be careful not to miss it.

That's what I suggest too, but we will never know the future unless it's actually revealed

I suggest the congestion because of the recent price action. If we got a downtrend, the probability that it will be BIG is very large, and we will probably see the Euro dropping like a hit pigeon

In the mean time, if you look at the daily chart, isn't it the beautiful pin bars that james16 always talk about?
