Although there is 35+ currency's to trade, we don't see 35 unique moves. Most pairs share an correlation to some degree with other pairs. But some of the Scandinavian pairs have good movements and could be traded even with their high spreads.

Here are some calculations I've made with pip values multiplied with ADR based on 60 days history. You'll see that some of the Scandic pairs lays above many of the majors and that usd/jpy is the "least" valued pairs when it comes to average daily range.

Very nice observation buddy. I just had a glance at some and a few obvious patterns jumped at me. Will definetly observe them from now on, as it "might" be worth it. Not saying it will be "worth" it.

Why should USD/SEK dip below 1.5? Doesnt make sense to me.

the wide spreads will deter me to trade those Scand. pairs for now..

did u concentrate on those 12 pairs only? what were your bases for analysing those pairs?

Spread is relative. When almost every broker raised their spreads during the most volatility environment in decades, not only in the fx-market, people started to complain "why oh why you damn brokers" without even realizing that the daily ranges had been doubled. And the brokers increased their spread by only a pip or two!

I took the majors plus some exotic I thought would be worthwhile to calculate. But lets not turn this into a ADR thread lol.

Quited day today. Eur/yen changed MMOTY.

Had some nice trades of the current ascending channel and the previous channel (ascending) that im not showing on the chart as it was broken already as the new one formed. Can it get any better then this guys? Dont think so

Actually i would have risked a few pips to buy of 1.2959 but i was sleeping and keeping in mind that it was the 4th touch we might see "the kiss of death" of this lower TL. As for the wedge its not there for me. EUR/USD is still inside an ascending channel.

sorry belekas im not sure i understand you correctly, do you mean you dont have the pattern on your feed or for you its not valid??

may I ask what do you think about USDSEK...
do you think it will continue to go down below 8.4 or it will go up resuming the previous uptrend?

Well look at those ranges during Asia session. Been some time since we last saw a 45 pips range on gbp/usd. Are we back to normal in the fx market ?
