Wall Street is more a industry label than an actual place. Take a look at where Bear Stearns' headquarters was a year ago before the bust - midtown Manhattan. Many other financial firms relocated years ago to Harborside Financial Center across the river in Jersey City, NJ. Hedge fund traders are predominently located in Greenwich, CT. Chicago with the CME does the bulk of the currency futures trading. And I'm sure you already realize London is a bigger currency trading market than NYC.

You might know some 'old school' traders who call it the mark or dmark but traders on the street have short careers so I would expect the majority that have come along in recent years since the euro introduction to refer to the euro, eurodollar, euroyen, eurosterling, eurocad, etc.

he (Lloyd) doesn't know any old school traders whatsoever. i know many interbank traders and none of them refer to the euro as the mark.

I coulda gotten another 10pips which woulda helped my little account but hey, got to learn to hold for longer but not easy in this slow market.

24hour SMA held, so good odds you'll do okay on that trade


Trading ILL, normal when I do that, I blow my account I'm definately improving LOL

9wins in a row, but only recovered 50% ish of my last BAD trade

Well the S&P and Dow finished the day with daily pin bars right into resistance so a good chance for a retracement if not a full reversal.

I would expect the 'yorrow' to follow or lead depending on which market moves first.

So anyone still thinking long EU has to either believe: a) equities are not going to drop or b) that EU will not follow ........... this time, like all the rest of the times it did.

Looking at the main ???USD pairs and any USD??? pairs it would seem quite clear to me that the USD is getting stronger. Hence EURUSD should fall while USDCHF should rise.

Not too sure why people are still thinking Long EURUSD. Does anyone have a good explanation for that mind set?

PS: Sol please explain and shrink that last post.

lol, now that's pretty funny. I can't go back to geppy for a little while, too tempting to tease forexlion. I wish there was some way to take the stupid vouch he gave me off. It's more like a mark of disgrace coming from him.

Kind of like the guy in school who doesn't have any friends so he has to sucker the new guys into being his friend until they figure out the gig. Sucks.
