Do we only take dibs on the day of trading or say there was a set up on a previous day that hasnt activated ie a short order but price hasnt come back do we still leave those in. I had a short for friday that was picked up today (up 50 pips so its a free trade no worries) but just for the future, if a day passes with out the dib being picked up do we leave it as a no trade.

BTW my logic says no because if it becomes an up day we dont want to be taking a short from a previous day as it will more often than no knock us out.

cheers

PS first trade of Inside bars, had an 'ah ha' moment after reading peters blogs, what a champion

yeah your right.. i'd say you got lucky inside bars show indecision due to being "inside" the previous bars range! so a trade from days ago that has just triggered is just one of those "lucky" things and would be considered momentum (nothing wrong with that )

good inside bar trade example on eur/usd currently up 30pips with first tp taken.

kind regards

ps you can add expiry dates/times on orders!

No i was talking to a friend of mine and he was spewing he wasnt long on the Eur, his reason was he didnt have an entry. I took a look and rendered some bad news for him, he could of. I was out while it happened but was covered with the swissy move anyway. might exit the short and look long. Todays candle was up and there was an IB 2 hours ago that hasnt been covered yet. with thursday spike we may some the move still forward.

Fxnoob08,
You could take it on a retest, but I would pass on this one since it's getting late in the session and the pair has already exceeded its average daily trading range. The probabilities are stacking against you.
Take care,
Dave

I think yes u can take the restest of the IB ..but the MM rules could be diff.. for example if i did not take the first trade and the price moved to far and now came down as a "retest" then probably i wont take it

please check the higher tf before take the ib break out near resistance & 4hr ppz from the higher tf, if the break out close back to ib's area just wait until the break out close above the that ib's then you can find the valid break out of the ib's

brgds,

guess we just need to re think here. Peter said a number of times that the first 9 hours where the times to be trading. london is not too far off closing, will US have the punch to push EU higher. im out anyways, took 50 pips on the swissy, wasnt keen to continue it. we reload and look tomorrow
