hey guys those highs are failing since last week on my hour chart we failed to get to 62 retrace. then on the intraday today it failed in a smaller time frame attempt...we appear to be atempting to test todays low and beyond..

That might be so, but this pair is not in a hurry to do that.

I'm caught in two minds here.

I'm in profit on my long, on the recent down move, and then up-swing.

History suggests that price will retrace to daily pivot point first before continuing its trend for the day.

Should I take my profits now, or let it run and hope that it will see the daily pivot?

Consider this.

Lock some profits in. Then see if it runs up to the pivot. If it does, it's more pips. If not, at least you didn't lose it all.

phys got some post with some s/r read them for now...its unlikely to hit the lower line of that trend...lots of s/r....you can get burnt so easily between those trends im not trading them except a scalp rarely..but since you asked the bottom of trend is 2496 area... those horozontal lines are areas that should be respected and can be used to scalp off of.. be careful...

Did just that.

Price action not having enough momentum to touch and bounce off yesterday's low worries me.

It just tells me that the low might get tested and broken later in the day, instead of during the Sydney/Tokyo hours.

The ideal situation for me right now is for price to move up to daily pivot, consolidate, and then makes its move down to test yesterday's low and possibly break it.

2616 is the pivot for the last small move... above that the short term move may be over... since your long consider below 2616 only in the short term bearish..
