Just wait till you get to that stage and blow 170k in one trade. That isn't a set back....it's a friggin nighmare.

With respect, you don't sound at all patient to me, judging from your admission in a previous post that you constantly blow your account every time it reaches $1000. How do you manage to suffer like this if you have both patience and a 80%-90% success ratio? This doesn't bode well for your chances of long term success, in my opinion.

I feel for you man... 130K was my best (Nov '07). I never traded for 6 months after that.

Psiholog, personally I think the most difficult thing in this business is to hold yourself in and not trying to get rich too quick, that can blow your account so fast. I know it is difficult, specially if this is your only income, but if you just have to control it with good MM. I have started 1 year ago with $350.00 as well, I managed to let it grow to just over $5,000.00 by December, I withdrew $4,000.00 and took a nice ski holiday in Switzerland and started again in January. Now my balance is $1,700.00 and I only make trades when the market looks good to me and I am almost sure where it will go to (you never know 100%). I was directed to forex factory by some email I received from someone I don't even know, and since I joined here, I learnt more and things are going better. The main thing according to me is to be patient, you will get there.

I was out every bit of 6 months then went through the problem of not being able to pull the trigger. I could tell everyone else where and when but couldn't do it myself. That sucks.

It seems nobody knows why the EUR is up, however I'd like to share a small observation with you.

Usually the pa is directly correlated with the stocks pa. The different stock markets in Europe are themselves extremely correlated (just look at the graphs of DAX and CAC - prqacticly identical). However today the downpush in stocks affects E/$ pa very little, so my conclusion is hat there is a quite a strenght in the EUR and we are yet to see a push up. Besides the 1H downward channel is this time decisively broken.

Hope this is not just my mind finding excuses for my long positions

i dont need to explain myself to you as you are the most ignorant trader that has ever posted in this forum but i will do it anyways. I am self taught...started live in december 2007. Doing so i had to learn what to do and what not to do through experience...money management...strategy...and so on. In november i was up to 1200 but at that time i still used no stop loss...my last major weakness. Sure my winning ratio was 80-90 to get to there with the 3000pips i had gained but once i increased to 1$ pips and shorted the high of the november triangle with no stop loss...at which point the eur/usd took off to the upside 2000pips..well you can imagine the result. Point being...i know i am a great trader....my methods work greatly for me its just i had to take out the errors in my strategy which i learned the hard way. NOw with proper mm and stop loss of 50pips on each trade...the patience to wait for best setups and know when to call it a night....the errors of my first year live are not an issue anymore. Whether you understand this or not i really dont care mr ignorant.

I closed my short for +10 and staying out until after NFP. I don't like the PA right now and think it is going to consolidate in this area until the news.

I'm sorry for my grammar, i'm not an english speaking person. Well I understand your problem but quit work and school to me personally is not a wise decision. Cause with school you can have fine job that will give you at least $2000/month and with that your short of equity shouldn't be a problem. However good luck with your trading buddy, i just believe that if you think you are destined to be success than you will be sucess. Don;t get stress, healthiness is far more important than $100 profit a day

Lately when we had bad news from US eurusd was going down making $ stronger, today few hours before NFP comes we had rapid move up, it could mean that we may have strong move down after those news. I`m not sure but what we are having today is strange.
