I am a full time trader... I manage accounts for investors, and trading IS GAMBLING.

I might add that my account holders are made aware that they are GAMBLING.

Yes, but if we have a Strat that consistantly is correct six times out of ten, and you manage the trade well, then you are the Casino, and not the broker!

I'm looking for short in 30M timeframe...
shorted at 1.2670... losing 17 pip...

any idea? I tot I'm in the corrent trend?

I think they might be talking about the Aussie GDP announcement gap from early Wednesday Asia session. It shows up on my alpari mt4 feed but not on the live Oanda one.

forex is not gambling to me.. its about probability, life is all about probabilities.. knowledge and wisdom will make the different..
who knows about the future ?

I can count cards and win at Blackjack... but it is still a gamble.

I bred and raced greyhounds very successfully for 12 years... but it is still gambling.

After I had a heart attack and could not do physical work any more, I started repairing lawn mowers... for 5 years.

Then I learned Forex... 6 months later I retired from my short career fixing lawn mowers and went trading fulltime... that was over 4 years ago.

forex was like gambling to me until i blew my account twice in less then 2 months. at that point i was almost broke so could not repeat it a third time therefore the mind went to work...how to not repeat the scenario again...figured out my main problem there was using 8dollar pips for a 1000 account the first time and 5dollar pips the second time..oh how i laugh about that now..still...quite the experience. later on when i had proper mm i learned i needed to control my trades so strategy was born and so on...all that brought me to today where even when im wrong im right and a loss is just a minor setback

oh yeah..the last big issue i had to work on was stop loss. i used none..november i worked my ass off for 3000 pips scalping left and right while in december i lost novembers gain on a massive rally up..that was fun....hence stop loss was born. i will say this again and again for the rest of my life..and plenty of times in here

well for me its not full time job yet
Love what I'm doing in my job. Trading is good for extra income well better to say i', getting more then my day job
Planing to go unemployee within 3 years from now
have to make enough to buy a house with the forex money.
The challenge is going on and its going well 80% on the account so far in 4 month

what about you ?

I have 2 shorts going on for long term from 1.2694 1.2670
