I did a course through a well know Canadian forex mentor that teaches multiple time frame (MTF) trading. Out of all the trading styles on FF MTF is what I have come back to, so I'm very happy to see this thread. Thanks.

On USD, Eur and Gbp - Yen I use 4 hour and 1 hour charts (recently changed from 30 min chart). I have standard MACD for divergence, 8 3 3 stoch, Williams % R on 14 and the Daily Fozzy thread's 8 sma, 8 rsi, Bol band combo on all time frames.

For other currencies that I watch (GBP, CHF and EUR - USD) I use 4hr, 1 hr and 30 min. I sometimes look at lower charts 15 and 5 min but thats more for scalping and I'm trying to move away from that.

OK I look for 2 time frames for stoch and W's % R to go overbought/sold. Once the higher time frame has gone OB/OS I look at the lower time frame for the daily fozzy indicator sma to cross the rsi and the final entry hurdle is for W's % R to cross the -50 line (which I have added to set alerts). This filter seems to help a great deal in keeping losing trades down.

Other things like macd or stoch divergence, candles, chart patterns, fib levels etc etc help of course but the above confluence of events works for me and I suppose thats what its all about.

Perhaps you say I am over using indicators you are probably right!! Anyway hope this might help tweak the basics of a successful trading style.

The 4 hour is the key chart
I like for it to be coming out of the 20% or 80%
THe dat is Okay the way you have it
& the 30 min is ok-maybe with strong candle formations!

The two main exits are

the turning of the 30 min stoch
or
the turning of the 4 hour stoch

What do you think about usdjpy? Is there going to be a sharp fall on Core PCE? Daily crossed up but it it falls nice it will change to down again (uncross).

What do you think about candles in M30 and H4?

But I am not sure what you are doing?
do you have a # of bb on theres charts?
are the red lines on your chart from the stochs?

BB are great but they might be a differant stystem
I have found to keep it simple?

I have just attempted to refine it a little .....

I use
1 hr bar for larger time frame
and 15 min bars for smaller time frame

and use
the touch of Lower Bollinger Bands
instead of looking for cross of Stochastics

There are too many Stochastic cross overs -
and most lag behind price , so I find that looking for the
touch of a lower Bolliner Bands ( if bullish ) to be more reliable
than looking for Stochatics or MACD to cross over .

So here's how it goes ( Bullish Senario )

Step1 - get a 1 hr bar chart and apply Bollinger Bands (21 bar Setting )

Step2 - make sure price is touching Lower Bands on 1 hr bar chart

Step3 - after you know that price is touching Lower Bollinger Bands on
............on 1 hr chart , then open a 15 min chart

Step4 - draw your 1st Paralell Line on the 15 min chart and label it 1 hr

Step5- on the 15 min bar chart -watch and wait for price to rally and pull back
............. and touch the Lower Bollinger Lines , and use as potential entry signal .

Step6- Only buy if price is touching Lower Bollinger Lines on 15 min charts !

It's That Simple !................. Just as you already say .

so you are doing candle out candle in &/or touch & candle push off
and are the bb from the 15min?

Its friday so we can expect proffit taking from the big boys
they have to eat too
so the day charts can be a problem on friday
as the market may do the opp of the day charts
but we have to be careful - a lot of trades take friday off
I think about 80% of the times I have losses are on friday!
