DislikedGary,
Please include this new broker in red font. I tested just now, and EA displayed GMT+1. Thanks for updating
if(AccountCompany()=="Alpari(US), LLC.") GMT_OffSet = 1;
if(AccountCompany()=="Belvedere Inc.") GMT_OffSet = 1; //FXOPEN
if(AccountCompany()=="FXDD") GMT_OffSet = 2;Ignored
DislikedYo Gary,
I'm still running on ForexMeta and they are GMT+2 but the 3.3 EA shows a GMT+0 setting on the Autoset. I turned it off (false) and set it to +2 the old way. Strange, huh? I know FXDD is also GMT +2 as well. Just giving you a heads up.Ignored
Dislikedtoo bad. I was hoping you would "magically" come out in profit today.Ignored
DislikedI've been quietly testing the recent versions of SlingShot (well done Gary with all the modifications - we'd be lost without you) and have experienced some of the problems listed in earlier posts regarding alerts popping up and the inability to close a trade, typically with error code 129 e.g.
2009.03.03 15:02:21 Slingshot EURUSD,M30: OrderCloseReliable V0_2_3:retryable error (5/10): 129:invalid price
As I was wondering what could be causing this, I remembered seeing some of the code around the closure of the trades and 'slippage', which...Ignored
DislikedHey Damon
funny you say that, I had problems with Alpari US charts too . When I tried to use my templates (saved on Alp.UK) the US platform froze.
Then I manually attached the EA and all indies and it worked!
This issue occured only on Alp.US platform, I tried templates on FXDD, Activtrades and a couple of others w/o problems.Ignored
DislikedHi all, and congrats to the great job you're all making here.
I'm quietly following it, and haven't bumped in before because of the lack of time presently to join in and participate.
You might want to take into account the hard coded slipage, when a 5 digit broker is concerned - as said above, if this value is 3, it should be 30 for 5 digit brokers;
Also, one diference between Alpari US and UK that comes to mind is exactly that... US is 4 digit, while UK is 5 digit.
Keep up the good work.Ignored

DislikedHey Wolf -
The "E Tickets" at amusement parks are always the most fun! Personally I like the slow ride up, you can keep the fast ride down.......hmmmm, what does Disney and Forex have in common?
GaryIgnored
DislikedHsa,
Why does everything have to be "bloody" with the British?
There HAS to be something wrong with the EA adjusting for 5-digits or something, huh? Are you seeing much price difference in your charts between the two? Adjusting correctly for GMT? That's just ALL screwed up, Mate!Ignored
DislikedToday was interesting indeed.
Take this:
Two brokers, same charts, same settings, same EA, same day.
Alpari UK: +$300
Alpari US: -$278
That's almost $600 as in six hundred dollars difference!! Bloody hell... One could think: OK-OK, a few pips plus minus here and there between different brokers, but this much? wow... I'm honestly confused!
Well, I know one thing: Alpari US is a definite no go after a few days of testing. I'll keep testing this concurrent setup though, for my own purposes.
Let me know if you know the answer!Ignored

DislikedSambro,
In your xls file, are all these trades UK and US combined? How are you telling the Alpari UK from the Alpari US trades apart? How are you able to tell which filter was triggered on which trades with these Alpari reports? What the heck does "Alpari" stand for anyway?!Ignored
DislikedMy apoligies for not being around. i am actually laid off and have spent my time actually trading . It is a different mindset doing it after work as opposed to all day. I am still ver rusty indeed.
I am a little discouraged based on the info from the different brokers. It has left me at a loss as to how to continue. I can hardly believe that the same broker can have completely opposite results.
You really have no idea how much thie whole experience has turned me away from EA's completely.
I am however still open for suggestions. Whatcha...Ignored
DislikedHey Damon, sorry to hear about your job loss. I feel ya on the broker issue, but I still can't understand how you got so much positive results and the EA isn't. It seems it is better to do opposite of what the EA would.Ignored
