Now it's Friday and I have a decision to make. The last few Fridays have hurt my gains because of the bull run up...This has been a very bearish week and I am concerned that the bulls will try to close it closer to the open this week.

Should I close my positions, or let them ride? My stops are @ 2730 with 1.5% Risk.

I think we may see a very interesting close today. No matter which direction you trade, please use SLs.

If you look at the charts of late, which are wildly up and down with some very concentrated areas of consolidation interspersed, you might be tempted to surmise that professional traders don't know what in sam's hill they are doing....that from moment to moment they cannot make up their mind where the prices should rightfully be....absolutely lost idiots!

Not in your life! They know exactly what they are doing. And these dramatic PA whipsaws have one intent.....to raid stop losses. Remember, ultimately there has to be balancing positions on both sides of a price area, and raiding stops is their way to force those on the other side of the PA to give up their positions!

When trading at times like this, be prepared for 100+ pip swings. And if you correctly identified the trend then stop losses, except very lilberal ones, are a sure way to lose your position before a really substantial move in your direction. Just IMHO.

Edit: I am using the whipsawing down to add to my trades.

With the EUROZONE Q4 GDP much lower than expected (-1.5% q/q against a consensus of -1.3%), I'll expect USD to dominate against EUR this Friday (today).

Those holding shorts would probably to wise to continue holding and those that are looking for this pair to go North today, your equity may get be at risk.

Either way, its Friday, anything could happen ... watch your STOP and limit losses.

Personally I don't keep open trades at weekend, and fridays usually don't open trades at NY session.
But you're a master on this stuff, i don't know why you ask

To my knowledge, very few if any professional traders on this forum or any other ..... and they may be wrong too.

If someone advises to use SLs, it means expect unexpected. ............. SL means Stop Loss.

I don't like to keep positions open over the weekend either, but if I see an AMAZING opportunity to get in, I take it even with the weekend swings, I just reduce my position size and increase my SL.

and BTW I am no master...I don't think anyone is a master at this...but thanks for the flattery.
