Can a regular contributor here tell me if its worth reading the entire thread. I'm a seasoned trader. I completely understand the first post, and am assuming nothing has changed, as was the intent of the system. Peter Crown has some gems of wisdom in there too! If the rest of the thread is just chatter, newbie questions (nothing wrong with that), and set-ups, I don't need to read that. Thanks in advance! ...Moneyfornothing.. Your set-ups make it too easy for everyone. They are great though!

Nothing has changed. They are not "my set-ups". I didn't invent the inside bar trading technique. I just practice it. If I made it too easy for everyone then there would be no questions. Trading is simple. It gets easier with practice.

Let me rephrase... Your diligence in posting the set-ups is hopefully appreciated by all that are using them. I won't use them, as I look at the charts myself. Like you said... trading is simple. But for those that don't get that trading is simple and need to see your charts as confirmation, I hope it is not taken for granted. I don't mean to come across the wrong way... I went through years of "not getting it." I would have loved having your charts to look at for reassurance back then.

There is no trick. There is no secret. Either you decide to trade or you decide to watch. "You Have to Be In the Trade to Win the Trade." All the charts, indicators and systems will be of no use to you unless you enter the trade. Most indicators are of no use anyway and most systems lose. Your only hope of winning is to master your fears. You see my charts and think, "That's the secret. If I had those charts, I could make money." There is nothing on my chart that can help you at all... nothing! If you can't see an inside bar without an indicator, then you don't understand inside bars. If you can't place a couple of lines where they need to be, then you don't understand the setup. If you can't tell which way price is moving by looking at the chart, then you probably shouldn't be trading. Price either moved up or moved down. Those are the only two options. The only bar on the chart that means anything at all is the current bar.

I am no "guru". I am just another trader. That's all. I don't have all the answers. I don't have anything that you need. When you ask me questions, you are looking for an answer that will give you confidence to pull the trigger. You must find that confidence within.

I think it is important to read the first posts, everything from Peter Crown, and the posts from Jarroo, House, NowAndLater are important in my opinion. Please forgive me if I forgot anybody.
I am sorry that they don't write now in this thread, but I think it's because many of them tried to explain the rules to some people again and again, and there were always new Ideas to make a well working method better ??????
I trade forex since around 8 years, and read the Dibs Method from the beginning last year, and it is one of the best Tools to manage your trade with small risk and the oportunity to be in a trade for some 1000 of pips. Some people use it for day trading, I would not use it for that, but it's ok. I like it to build up a lot of trades until it takes off in one direction. When I am stopped out, ok, then build it up again. Some are stopped out and a few trades will bring you a lot of money. I think that's the main idea, to buy on a 1 hr chart and trade it up to the daily, weekly or monthly timeframe.
Around two weeks ago I was up 30% in around 2 days. Ok some may think with a lot of risk, no I trade between 0,5% - 1% risk per trade.
I trade a method a little bit like Dibs in 5 currencys and I know what happens when all 5 take off 300-500 pips x 5 you have 1500-2500 pips or more in a very short time, so I always have to remember myself not to close my trades at the end of the day, because for me it is a veeeery long term strategie.

regular contributor, I only read the thread from the beginning last year and started to trade it the second time, because sometimes Dibs are pains.

Here a little more detail of the breakouts in EURUSD and GBPUSD.

One almost never gets away with a 5-7 pip mental stop in breakout trading. There is almost always a higher volatility at the breakout of IBs.

Like in both cases. See 10 sec charts.
