*knock on wood* Hasn't happened yet.

I would be f@#king livid if it did. But I would come and talk about it on FF after it's resolved. Not before or during.

You opened short at 2800, it grows and it gets up to 2900 then you open another short and after it gets back down you may close both at 2845 getting -45 pips from first one and + 55 pis from second one. Ypu may need to open few more and everything is based on your account balance but as i said before i sometimes do use that cind of openning my positions and it works for me.
You may alsow open long if your short starts to make you lose money...

yea right, in case he is live trading.
i doubt it in this case, and i do think the 1:500 stuff is too tempting (look at his broker name) , and for those not experienced with that situation before

of course they can close. your platform is down, not the broker's link to their prime broker. either way, if they don't deal on the telephone, then you are with a second rate broker. mine will always trade verbally on phone in the event of IT problems. if necessary, they can manually hedge out the position through phoning their prime broker. although, from their perspective, the risks involved with retail trades are minimal, so they won't necessarily hedge....

They are your broker and just cut you out for an hour. Why are you sticking up for them? Go find out where they are regulated and file a formal complaint.

possible trade coming up here on the close of this bar. hopefully it is clear to you guys.

what i am looking at is 1hr EURUSD and price is in an upward sloping channel, two actually a smaller one inside a bigger one and both channels are drawn with lines of exactly the same angle and the bottom line of both channels is a single line, it is the top that is two seperate lines.

as you can see we had a bounce off the top of the smaller channel on the previous bar which became a hammer, as well as it hit the 1.382 extension from a previous up move.

when the current bar closes in 21 minutes hopefully will have a nice candle to take a short with.

any thoughts on this?

mabye something you would wait for to confirm?

FXOpen look so professional from their website.

I mean, they offer leverage of 1:500, which can only be a good thing. Anything less is unacceptable, in my mind. They also offer a $100 bonus for joining them. They seem incredible.

Pfft! I fart in the general direction of 1:500 leverage. Abachaforex out of Lagos, Nigeria gives me 1:50000 leverage and a 0.00005 spread on EURUSD.
