I've just closed two shorts (trades were based on the channel from the above chart) from 1.2728 and 1.2720 - total +90 pips.
I could let it flow but I'm a scalper / daytrader and feel uncomfortable leaving my trades open over night.

Tag along to the 8hr chart earlier... this is a 6 hr. The current candle (circled) opened 15 minutes ago at noon CST.

IF... price rises or holds above that 21sma ((2700ish) in spite of what the the previous candle seems to indicate, I'd get very nervous with shorts for the remainder of the day at the least... the next 6hr could easily get us to the next xx00 figure which coincides with the upper BB as well as the 50% retrace of the 8hr swing fib posted a little earlier ((yellow line)).

Methinks it's a good day to plant my new fig tree...

for those interested eur for some reason are another is getting stronger.. oil is up over 3 bucks and in the past this would have moved this pair ea 300/500 lower in a day....somethings going on...dono if eu hit bottom but its possibly close.. at least short term maybe longer...equitys had been down earlier, dow -60 s/p so on below oct low.. but euro found a low during this time actually over 100 pips up above days open. just something for shorts to think about..and any usd bulls..

....yeah, i got that too, would have been nice to get in on the bottom, but you'd have to be quick,

surely this is a glitch...? can't see it on any other chart.

i wonder if Oanda would recant...?

Good stuff - I am waiting for 2800 to enter a short.

What platform are you using for 8 hour and 6 hour TF's??? I like the look.

Anybody paying attention to the super long term or the montly's?? I know on that TF we are still trending up, but I think it will hit the 50% fib @ 2300 before we move anywhere near 6000. Thoughts??

I have three platforms open and it only happened on my Oanda. I imagine they are currently taking money off anyone who profited from the spike as it must have been a datafeed problem.
