Just curious, since im a fairly new trader (about a year and a half now) and i was wondering what you guys consistantly make. i'm not planning on using this a primary income by any means (i'm an engineering student) just as a side "hobby" if you will. and i've made no measurable income i just go up and down in my account, but primarily down. so what is an average mark you guys and (gals) try to make by the end of the day?

most of us try to make 3/5 million per day excluding weekends... but we struggle sometimes... lately i have not met my (try qouta) but still chipping away at it..

bs aside.. started out goals of 1 or 3% a week wich is not a bad return...this is what i shoot far and up to this week and last i was averaging more then that...but since june things have been amplified at least for me...not sure what others goals are. this gravy train can stop at any time..

You will probably get very few replies to that question (may be not!)

You really have to average it over a period of time, because even the best of traders get bad drawdowns that last for days and sometimes longer, but in the end they come out on top.

I just closed two shorts opened on 12th Feb, first was 1.2906 and second 1.2903. I think we can have stop on this dropings and we may start going up petty soon, so now i`m looking for good spot to open some longs.

did you review your entry? at 2800 i cant see what made you go long..except maybe a scalp...if so you need to set at least a mental sl and stick to it.. you can ask others but 30 pips sl on a scalp seems to be in line.. also if 400 pips drain your account you must have .25% of your account per pip.. this is crazy...your sl should of been closer to 1% maybe little more of your account...maybe divide 30 into 1% of account to show the amount of positions you should of taken......when you take a trade log why you got in it and what you expect.. stick with plan.. but move up sl if able and let winners run if they blow threw a s/r..

The ability to analysze chart and indentify where there is a trading oppotunities and wait for set up to trigger consistensly is that what matters ..just to do the right trade.. the amount of pips come after. just my opinions

Little update on the Daily chart I've been posting off of now and then...

Lower side of the previously posted 40 pip wide target zone ((green box)) has now been hit and exceeded by about 4 pips, so I like that most recent fib and am assigning it greater weight than the previous ones...for the simple reason it's working better, and that happens in the normal course of events.

Areas of interest atm are the 11sma way up there a'rd 2790ish, and the previous Swing Low/Fib anchor at 2700. Both are resistance levels on the longer TF's to watch for now if price gets back that high any time soon.

Of seconday interest to me is the white angled ascending TL. I'm looking far harder at horizontal S/R levels for now, and I'll probably hide it by the weekend.

The next Target and Support levels I'm watching are the negative Fib Extensions on the current fib. I anticipate seeing you guys down there... if not sooner, then later.

My weekly chart shows a massive Historical Support level at 2500... A thick pink line on my charts since last summer. Think of it as a zone maybe 30 to 60 pips wide... Perilous trading a'rd that kind of a level... stay sharp.

Good stuff, I agree. Once the day changed at 5 the whole deal changed. So I am long with a weather eye.

yeah i belive we have a bottom at this levels. just in case im still holding my shorts from 1.2900 and mid 1.2800s areas....

hoping to go long around .2490 or so as well but firs i must see a confirmation prior to entry.
