It is a critical point. The monthly entered the Ichi Cloud and this also happens to be the midline on a 200 BB, and it is hitting the 110 EMA. The monthly has bounced here for the 4 previous months. I was expecting a bounce long here too, just wondered what made Driver and you make that decision.

Hi!
I'm a newbie, so forgive my naive question.
I've been observing correlation between news and pair movement for several weeks.
Today, I saw that there was TIC long term effect event.
It was said that if the actual number bigger than the one forecasted, it would be good for the currency.
But, instead of dragging EU down (the actual number is in fact bigger than forecasted one), EU moved upward.
Can anyone explain me why this is happening?

just where it is.

some or most have been using this as the base for their fib for months so I would see a bounce here for a couple of days not starting today but here in the next week we will see a begining of a bounce from 100-400 pips.

Interesting day to trade countertrends when later today Obama signs the new lucrative bailout plan that will surely shore up confidence in the green back. You also got the big three auto makers making their case for extra cash infusion on top of the 13-15 billion their already getting. Which should also direct more pressure on the Euro and its failing Eastern countries.

Im not considering longs until we see 1.25-1.23 and some more positive news comes out of Europe.

The big boys know all these numbers in advance. So they trade the market into this direction days before. If the numbers are released, the dump money jumps on them and get traped. In the stock market this phenomenon is called "Sell on good news."

The so called news are new only for the retail trader. It's a scam.

I'm long at 1.2606....... where do you think my stop should be? i have a bad habit of setting it too close and get wiped out. Any suggestions?

Personally placing buy limit @ 2556 w/30 pip stop and 50 pip TP position 1 and 2nd position +1 once target reached. Expansion respect and downmove seems to be slowing down.

Yes, it seems that way. I also observed all gbp pairs' movement at 4.30 am (CPI y/y).The up movement was started half an hour before the news was released.
So, do you think trading for news has more downside to the user?

....who wants, obliviously!!

I do not advice any longs at this level.

Two things could happen today:

First - I am wrong reading my charts and this will go to the upside hardly, if so all longs will have their day!
Second - we will see this Down move for some time!!

My opinion is that last 3 Weeks PA already is given to us the next move!!!

Do not challenge the market!!!

You can trade the market only technically. After this last news release they trade already the next one. But you cannot know what event this will be exactly and when it will happen.

2550 looks likely now but like I said earlier if you went long at 2600 your still good but you have to have lots of risk and low margin with a super long-term ideal.
