got out for +28, was using the SL method Siuol suggested by moving SL to low of 2 previous candles.

...did not trade it (don't ask why, I already asked myself that)

If we used Siuol's suggestion of the SL method, then the pip profit would have been a nice portion.

Great job. That is great. Nice to hear that you are making some very nice pips with this method. +28 and +101 gives you +129 on just two trades. That's a great week of trading and you got those results in one day. I think if we keep this thread going and give out suggestions, we can really have something nice going. Glad to know that the SL method I suggested helped out.

Edit: Another suggestion is, when you have a candlestick that is 20 pips or larger in size, rather than count back and find the two bars that have created a higher higher and low than the previous bar before it (in a long trade) move your stop loss to the half way point of the bar that was 20 pips or larger in size. This will help lock in even more pips when you have a very large bar and market volume and volatility are picking up. Just another suggestion.

Hi guys,
Just finished reading the thread and i have a 'feel-good' feeling about this system (its simple). I'm currently using another system off the 2 min chart and will see how this one goes on that time frame and will post my results and charts as i trade.

This trade was just after New York open. I took this trade on the GBPUSD 5min.

All my entry requirements were met. Trade Stopped Out at -27.

Pls can someone tell me on which pairs this system works ? Demoing it on Eur/Jpy. but seems not working.

It's not bad on e/u but g/u seems to be doing pretty well since it's moves are stronger and quicker.

I see now what you mean with trying to use this method in tandem with the 5 wave trading method of brian. The problem is the charts, I have only one 19" screen... what do you think? Did you compare this method with brian's on the Gbp/Jpy trade you took this morning(gmt)?

I've yet to do the comparision but I think we may be able to figure something out. I will do that later today with the trade I took. I will look and see what price was doing on this method when I took the trade that I did. I think that if one studies price action enough, you will not need any indicators. It's truly the only way to trade. I plan to trade strictly price action once I understand it more but combining the method from Brian and this method, I think one can make some serious pips.

Lets see, but although I was away from this system today, I see their was quite a few good trades today on the EU, GU and EG.

Nice simple & clean, self explanatory system.

I like the stochastic RSI as an extra entry and exit on the 5m TF.

Just been reading through the thread looking for the rules which are supposed to be on Page 2 post 26. However they are not, also, have any indicators been updated and posted later?

It LOOKS (I may be wrong, feel free to correct me!) like you place a stop order on the break of a candle which CLOSES outside the channel in the same direction suggested by the MACD. Put your S/L at the opposite side of the channel and then move it down following price as someone suggested earlier.

It's quite similar to something I'm doing with a 10EMA Hi/Lo channel but with the 50SMA as a filter instead of MACD. Picks up all the large swings but frequent losses in rangeland.

Unsure where Stochastics/RSI come in as these aren't part of the screenshot in the OP...

Yes, this is not my system. Therefor the link to the original system developer at the TSD forum which is on page 2 post #26 The RULES he QUOTED: "The ruls are simple: Make a trade in a candle break, and use MACD and MA(80) as a filter. See the image for explanations."
He did not want to explain further... so what can you do!?

Stoch is something I added for my own trading as explained in the edit in post#1. So yes, the Stoch is not part of the original method.

I see, it is understandable given the situation.

One last question though.
In post 1 there is a zip file and 4 other uncompressed files but, the same files are in the ZIP. Which files are we supposed to use?
Also there is a new file on p4 post 58????

This is harder to work out than the rules to the system.

Is there any chance you can delete the old files in post 1 and upload all current files in a zip on post #1?

no problem, .... but they are all the same as in the .zip
1 of the members asked the files to be uploaded seperately. I will just delete the .zip and replace the "MArsi" with the newly coded one.... but my thought was this .... leave the original indicators as they were presented by the method developer, and add notes to post #1 for updates

.... i'll edit post #1, and please let me know if there is anything else that should be changed to make it less confusing.
