well at least these guys dont jump out windows... maybe with a strong yen someone may think about importing swords to japan.. swords may be in short supply soon.

[JAPAN] Fin Min Nakagawa spooks markets after he announces he intends to resign after the Budget is passed in the Lower House of Parliament. Nakagawa's downfall comes amidst intense pressure from the opposition to step down following his "wobbly" behaviour at the G7 meeting. The move looks set to be a huge set back for Prime Minister Aso, whose cabinet's approval has already plumbed under 10%.

While I have the keyboard in hand, can someone please explain to this dumb old trader what the heck is the difference between a "fake" rally and a "real" one, or conversely the difference between a "fake" market dump and a "real" one.

Scenario - I place a trade (long). Market dives and I lose a bunch of money. Response on message board is "don't worry, its just a "fake" dump.

I check my P&L statement. Nope. The money isn't there. Its gone. I check charts. Nope. The PA still goes in a downward motion from left to right. Re-check my P&L. Money still gone.

But... I feel much better knowing that it was a "fake" dump that diminished my trading kitty.

OK. I understand now. Feel much better. Carry on...

Speed & Consistancy.
The Fakers wont let it gain either of these.
Still takes Skill & observation to decide.

I had a limit buy @ bottom channel 2633 so I am long from there with TP1 @2678 (move SL to BE) then TP2 @ 2695. I have a very tight SL on this one though at 2613 (20 pips).

[GOLD] has just leapt, with spot price spiking more than $10/oz to above $950/oz or a peak of $953.65 in Asia; its highest level since July 2008. Gold futures are also up 8.3% to $950/oz; with central bank buying being heard out in the Street amidst the deteriorating situation in Europe. Traders are also talking about long Gold/short Oil trades, with March crude down over 2%.

with supporting fibs for current target. These are old fibs that have been posted many times before. We are now well into the green target zone from the earlier chart, but still a ways to go to ring the bell.

Whether the Brits will see it this way just yet should be seen shortly. But Resistance is Futile, and they will be assimilated...

Green line is the target zone, two distinct price levels a'rd 40 pips apart. Both are near major Psych levels and it's a toss up at this point imo.The move below 2600 would maybe give some clues... with the actual target to be determined on a shorter TF than the Daily. Upper one is conservative, lower more aggressive.

S3 pivot (2646) currently earning it's keep...

The Stalk is in and the Hunt is on...
