Don't worry bud, if anyone should be worried it's me and I'm not the slightest. I have large long positions in AUD/USD & EUR/USD... I also have a large short in GBP/JPY so the fluctuations in everything (gaps) are kind of canceling each other out. But I do expect GBP/JPY to continue tanking this week while AUD/USD & EUR/USD climb higher.

We may see finally a cross of that annoying 1.2700.

Then range will be lower for some time or a drastic drop!!!

This week can well be a crazy one.
Possible 800 pip range week.

1.2861 must hold this Monday.

In that book he has many encounters with the "bucket shops" and all the retail FX brokers of today are glorified bucket shops of the ones he speaks of in that book. It's your typical "screw the customer" kind of "business". They don't care about you and the spread they make money on isn't enough to satisfy their greed. Stop running, not filling order, etc. It's all a sham and they are out to get you. They don't care if you go broke and lose your trading volume on their spreads because there are so many noobs coming in they can rob it just doesn't matter to them.

Yes it's a whole book and a great read. You can generally get any book on the internet now days scanned as a pdf.

Hey Freddy, trust me I will be spoiling her. We actually live in Marin county if you know where that is, so SF is only 15 min. drive, but we're staying there tonight just for fun. I'm actually waiting for her to do her makeup, etc right now. One hour ago she said she'd be ready 15 min. ago... typical

I have to wonder if G7 had a lot of talk about bolstering the dollar as only way US can avoid rampant inflation - therefore global inflation...but at this point couldn't we use a little inflation?

PracticalPip has given a very good advice. To add my thoughts: The author of Reminiscence of a Stock Operator had issues with bucket shops. He moved to New York to trade in a bigger market and with more reliable brokers. However, his problem did not end here. He faced a different set of issues at Wall Street, more to do with market mechanism. He ultimately found a solution ………. By focusing on big swings.

Trading on the basis of bigger time frames has several advantages, surviving stop loss hunting is one.
