Good to hear. I see most people pay attention to pivot tables and long-term charts and resistance and support figures guestimated online somewhere and it never made sense to me. I try to get in and out on quick bursts of movement. I'm starting to experiment with longer-term trades. I'm locking in low-profits on trades with a stop-loss and a 20 pip trailing stop, putting the limit high, but I haven't yet caught a big wave. It's only day two of experimenting though. Seems my trailing stop is too low... it always bounces back up some and hits it. I need to loosen up the noose so it can breathe more.

My post dated Feb 11, 7:39 am told you that this level would be hit had you actually took the time to read it, and not carry on the way you have. Yeah, I mostly trade much longer, but as you can see by my previous charts I will stray from the plan, and do intraday trading as well. I've been short from 2944, holding expecting to reach November's low.

Because in all honesty... most every other market has been hit worse.

Many of the world's economies are propped up from the US economy. Think of the half-trillion dollar surplus China has with our economy, the 80% of exports Canada has that go to the US, the industry in Europe that sells to the US.

"When the US sneezes, the world gets a cold". Well we have the shits and the flu at the same time and maybe some people think the world will therefore get the bubonic plague? Idk lol

Lol Seriously though. Look at a monthly chart, it's like dejavu from Oct to Dec.
January is our Oct, February is our Nov, And I see this thing taking off a minimum of 1000 pips for the month of march. But don't take my word for it, look at the charts.

Investors need some time to digest the stimulus. Markets are all currently down. Best thing to do is to take it all the way down, get positioned, and then shoot it to the moon.

preaching to the choir... oil 25 if this keeps up... the worse economy gets the less we drive... and the oil leaches have less to suck on...

I'm with you here in that I believe the EURO will continue to trend downward over the coming weeks because of their high interest rate and slower moves to stimulate the economy. That, and the US dollar will remain a "safe haven" currency, regardless of economic fundamentals. Europe is still in a tougher situation with their PIGS (portugal, ireland, greece, spain) and other countries who were heavily inflated for many years and who cannot whether a storm as easily since individual countries have no control over monetary policy.

Yeah I forgot to mention countries like Russia and the middle East and even Canada and everyone who relies heavily on commodities are getting or are going to get ramrodded in the ass because of the price of oil and the economic slowdown. All their social programs were planned and budgeted with the idea that oil would remain in the $130's indefinitely and now we are going to see higher deficits, more cuts, less social assistance... and the dollar will gain because of it.

Stocks being down makes the dollar stronger because there is no liquidity.

People are holding on to their money which makes it more valuable.

[HOUSING PLAN LEAKS] The Obama administration is nearing a plan to lower mortgage costs to home owners with problem loans, reports Reuters. The details are mostly consistent with those reported earlier today on Bloomberg, but some are new. The plan aims to provide assistance to those who have not yet defaulted, but who meet a set of standard criteria including means testing. Fannie and Freddie would support the program, but are not expected to expand securitization. Treasury would subsidize the plan. Recall Bloomberg reported the subsidization effort would aim at assuring any mortgage rewrite would assure lenders less loss than would occur under default. Recent recovery rates in mortgage default have centered in the 50%-60% range, though there is considerable variability. 19:44 GMT - [OIL DRILLED BELOW $33] March Nymex crude gets drilled in late NY trade, falling to just under $34 amid further spec unwind on global recession hits and heavy storage levels at Cushing, OK - almost 35 mln bbls and most since data became available in 2004. Next major support put at double-bottom low above $32 from January and last December. A break would likely trigger further OPEC output cuts as market enters is seasonally weak period when they meet in March.
