My chart posted earlier I expect the uSD/CHF to touch 2150, then I expect a serious retrace south.

Hi everyone,

My two pips are if EUR drops strong below the 1.2815 I go short with target of ~1.2711 give or take. SL would be 1.2878.
1.2815 seems to be a strong resistance.

I don't think people knew how bad the euro economy was going to be affected at that time. Things are MUCH different now, and the eurozone will likely be hit harder... my opinion, of course.

Just something to throw out there. Although us retail traders use the up and down movement we see on the charts as a way to make profit, Consider that the actual Banks and ECB, and hedge funds that are moving the markets actual do withdraw large portions of the monies that they buy. Sometimes it is in there best interest to have the currencies at a certain level before they make such huge withdrawals such as to pay account holders for various payrolls and such. Could be one of the main reasons that when it seem sprice should not be at 1 level it still goes there. Just a thought.

I mean that I see what you are referring to in regards to the USD/CHF reaching that level

I sold this whole EURO rally which has occured from Thursday of last week to Noon (Eastern Today).

I sold at:

1.2965
more at
1.2983
and more today at
1.3063.

I'm sitting on some green right now and I will take profit depending on Price action at bottom of channel which I see 1.2800 area.

I am also expecting a reversal in mid-London to 12-2pm Eastern and an up-day for the EURO tomorrow.

Based on:

  1. I think equities will rally on the bailout
  2. I think people well sell the dollar due lack of demand for safe haven currency
  3. Remember the equities sold off TARP 1 because it didnt pass.
  4. I think it will pass this time. Politicians dont want to vote against Obama's party this early in the game. It will ostracize their political career. They will be forever known as "THAT" guy who voted against the TARP2..Just like "those guys who voted for IRAQ" Same sort of political game. No one cared about voting against TARP1 because people didnt care for Bush's party that late his yr8.
  5. Remember.....Asian session commonly goes against the grain...
  6. Plus we have seen higher highs and lower lows.....

This graph shows the channel I'm using to Take Profit...Near the bottom...Lots of resistance over the last 2 weeks in this area...Prob wont make a new low due to the reasons I stated above.

This 5M graph shows my entry into this short.. Price > Corla (CORAL = THV's Ma) use the THV system by Cobra..Works very nicely. Highly recommend it. Very simple graphical approach and is good for minimizing false signals.

This 4H graph is good for seeing trend and support and resisitance. The MACD settings are the settings used in the popular thread 4HR MACD SYSTEM. 5, 13,1..Works very well. Rule is you only trade on the opening of the 4hr bars and only get out of a position on the change of the 4hour macd color. Read about it...Point is the system has been doing a perfect system getting you in and out of trades while preserving your profits in a volital market.

i think longs and shorts have a point.. i dont have any feelings of being right or wrong. i just want to be on the right side of the trade no matter who or what pointed me that direction.. i like others opinion it gives me another point to look at. then i make up my own mind as we all do..

we all know the short aurgument trend ect.. but heres something to think about.. on your longer trend at least 6 months worth of charts...1 there is a W trying to build its last leg up... 2 we failed to reach nov. lows 3 times.. jan 20.....jan 29....feb 5... feb 5 was a higher low then jan 29...if this low trying to form right now fails after stimules passes im a bull...the monthy 8hr and 4h have higher highs and higher lows.. the day chart doesnt agree.. gbp acting crazy... chf screws this whole point up for now..anyway if this is the atempt fails longs should be safe with a limited sl to just a few hudred pips...or less..
